How do you receive the Body of Christ?

Again I’ll point out that there are two types of reverence: internal and external.

Not saying I fully agree with what I’m about to say, but I want to grab an honest opinion; if we are the Bride and Christ is the Bridegroom, in the context of an actual relationship isn’t beauty (ie; external reverence) in the eye of the Beholder?

Not can be but are. They are also left in the EMHC’s hands.

If one touches an uncirculated coin and upon close examination it shows a rub, then certainly one’s handling of the Host will rub off particles of Christ’s Body. Of course, the CITH people will think that’s silly and no big deal.

when I think about it, there are times where particles may have been lost due to that method.

If it’s done the traditional way, the only particles lost will either be on the paten or on the priest’s fingers. (You can’t do much about those airborne but you can put those to a minimum.) In the EF, the paten is scraped by the priest’s fingers afterwards and particles "brushed’ into the ciborium or chalice, and then the wine is poured into the chalice dissolving the remains of the Blood, which is then consumed by the priest. Followed by rinsing of the priest’s fingers with the wine and water, consumed again by the priest. And there are the beautiful Ouod Ore Simpsimus and Corpuus Tuum prayers said along the way.
