How Do You Respond to Mormons?

I’ve come across mormons quite a bit, they are highly persistant and like to tell me that they are Christians and value the Bible but it has been changed they state.

Just looking for answers that can help me respond. Using Biblical and Non Biblical support and answers.

Have them show you the changes they claim happened to the Bible.

Check with them about their own Book of Mormon having almost 4000 changes to it.

Those should stop them in their tracks.

by claiming HIS church would not have a leader

I show them the copies of the Hebrew and Greek texts of the Old and New Testaments in my computer.

Then I explain how the three angels in the Judeo-Christian Scriptures are named and what those names mean.

Then I tell them, until you can show me a copy of the Book of Mormon in its original language, and until you can tell me what the name “Moroni” means, and in what language, don’t bother coming back.

Oh, and the “burning in the bosom?” I can give you some Gaviscon.
 
There are a couple of ways to go about this. Ask them point blank if they believe that Our Lord is God. You see, Mormonism teaches that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are three separate and distinct beings. So if they say that He is God, they either contradict the Mormon teaching, or imply that there is more than one god (which they also teach, though they will quickly say they only give worship to one). If they deny that Jesus is in fact God, they directly contradict Sacred Scripture, and reveal themselves as non-Christian.
Another way to go about it is to question the need for a “restoration” when they teach that St. John the Apostle still walks the earth and will live until the Second Coming. Plus, three “Nephite Apostles,” also to live until then. All of whom had the full authority of the Priesthood according to their concepts. So it would make zero sense to appoint someone else with no priesthood authority whatsoever to rebuild the Church.
That’s just two. I could easily come up with more, being an ex-Mormon myself.
 
I think there are a lots of discussions on Mormonism already. If you search for it you may find it.
 
I would avoid responding to them. You probably wont change their minds, and you might strengthen their belief that they are the right church for being persecuted. Just smile and say we all believe in Christ. Then quote the Bible:

“Whoever is not against us is for us.” Mark 9:40
“Whoever is not against you is for you.” Luke 9:50
 
If keep on coming to you, respect them but tell them you are not interested in their religion.
