How important are statistics in making a point?

Well, before I think about that I must shuffle through all those things I thought were imperfections and … hmmm …

I think you are right, that could be interesting. It might help us understand what is up with the short confession lines. Or ask them what triggers a trip to the confessional. Maybe the less often folks are going for different reasons than the more often folks.
 
As an outsider in always amazed by the huge rift between the offical positions (as explained here, the CCC, and EWTN) vs what “average Catholics” say or do. I get that this is a thing in other denominations as well, but there’s something to be said about what portion holds something to be true or worth abiding by in these matters.
 
Aw, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent. Forfty percent of all people know that.
