We have a ONE TRUE GOD, that is not only Divine, but is human, and showed us, as a human, how only he is human and Divine.
No other god has ever done this. Only the one true God.
The Old Testament predicted what God would do, and it was done to the T.

Who made that the standard for discernment?
Who?
.
Discernment:
I accept God as perfect love. If God is perfect love, God’s person is poured out perfectly and completely…in his pouring out, God
reveals himself. He shows himself to us, communicates himself to us. When we come to love someone, we reveal ourselves to that person, we come
to know each other. Maybe discernment is the growing in knowledge of this relationship
In his gratuitous revelation of himself, God becomes one of us, and one with us. Think about how we love one another, which is an image and sign of what God gives us. When we love, we have compassion with one another. Compassion means not just feelings, but
to be with one another, to suffer with one another, to joy with one another.
As God reveals himself and unites himself in perfect love with his creation, he becomes so personally one with us, he is Incarnated. That is how I
know God is God. I know it in a personal sense, not just in a head knowledge sense. God takes the ultimate step of con-descension, to be one with us in all things but sin. Can we expect anything less of a God who created everything that exists out of love?
