Here in southwest Texas at 3:30PM it is a beautiful sunny day at 99 degrees! Worked outside yesterday in a flower bed and was drenched in sweat by 2 o’clock!

Sipping on ice water, air conditioner is on full blast and I have a fan pointed at me.
I can tolerate heat during the day.
It’s when it interferes with my sleep that I get irate, hence the hate.

Nearly midnight and 86 degrees F. Muggy, humid and really quite miserable. Hard to sleep in those conditions. I’m glad I was able to get the sprinkler on my flower beds earlier today, while it was cooler.
My cats seem to be sleeping all the time, lately. Heat is getting to them, too. Plenty of fresh water for them. They seem a little crankier, too.
Augusts aren’t that nice in this area.

Severe thunderstorms in area has got me hunkered down in my basement bedroom. Never can tell when one might spin up a tornado. Pea sized hail was predicted and that prompted me to go downstairs. Can’t sleep just yet though it’s late so I’m looking at some of my favorite CAF threads. This is one of them.
