Hi! Your discussion here is rather complicated to me. I would just like to comment on your mention of Mary. I’ve not seen Mary mentioned in Revelation. Could you please give me the text? Also, I believe we should not make Mary for what she is not. The Bible plainly tells us that there is only one mediator, and that is Jesus Christ: “For there is one God: and one mediator of God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Tim 2:5).
God bless.
The bible also tells us to pray for one another because the prayers of the righteous availeth much (Ephesians 6:18; James 5:16).Amen!
According to you guys, we shouldn’t because of your misinterpretation of 1 Tim 2:5. Yes, Jesus is the one mediator - that can save us.
We are CALLED to be mediators for one another - in the sense that we can help each other with our prayers - BUT - only if we are ourselves living good obedient lives (James 5:16).
Revelation 5:8 tells us of the 24 elders pouring out bowls of incense which are the prayers of the saints. A clear reference to prayerful intercession and a direct blow to your completely unscriptural “we can’t intercede for one another” claim.
Answer me this:
If you truly believe this nonsense, then why do you pray for loved ones - or anybody else?
