How Many Fathers Do I Have

“Do not call anyone father” the words of jesus but there seems to be many who are called father on earth. Any insight would be great
 
“If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out” is also a word of Christ, yet not one apostle, not one Church Father, not one saint is known to have done this, because it means something more profound. The same can be said about not calling any man father. Indeed, ultimately our one true Father is God, for in baptism we are reborn of water and spirit and “we no longer live, but Christ lives in us”, making us sons of the Father and of Our Lady.
 
Saint Paul - Paul!!! - called himself the father of both Timothy (1 Timothy 1:2) and Titus (Titus 1:4). So, there you have it.

Dunno what you have been told, but Catholics follow Paul.

So what do you call your biological male parent then? If I can call the man who begot me and nurtured me physically ‘father’ then why not the equally important men who have nurtured me spiritually?
 
When we see our Priest or confessor ,we say ‘hello Father’ and we may really mean it because he is like a true Father to us,but what if we meet about ten different priests in one day,we might call each one Father ,but is each one really our own personal Father or spiritual Father?

How can you be a son of Mary. I know she deserves honour but where do you get that from.

Roughly speaking the theology goes like this.
Mary is the the Mother of Christ, who is the Son of God.
We are also sons of God by adoption through our baptism.
Hence, being sons of the same father by adoption, we are sons of the same mother by adoption. God is our Father, Mary is our Mother.

The Church sees this image in the passion narrative where Jesus gives John to His mother. In this we see the image of Mary being given to all of us and all of us being given to Mary…

But Almighty God does not have a wife. The only marriage is when the Lord comes for his bride the church thats my understanding.
 
Also, since baptism and all other forms of sacramental life which confer santifying grace which is a share in Gods own blessed life (which gives us our immortality) comes through Christ who created the sacraments. Since Mary is the one who bore this Life into the world, she thereby bore all humanity as well.

In the book of revelation …chapter 12.
It speaks of a woman who bore a son that would rule the nations…the child of course is Jesus and the mother of course would be mary. In verse 17 it says this:

Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep God’s commandments and bear witness to Jesus

This may be a little theologically deep but i’ll try…

Who is Gods spouse ?

You say the Church and you are right.

But what is the church…the believers right ?

Well, Mary was so “full of grace” that she held the perfection of divine life! So much so, that her marriage to God (which we are all called into …the “marriage supper of the lamb” ) concieved life! She gave a total gift of self to God and God did the same for her. There was a marriage here!

Mary is known by early church fathers as " the spouse of the holy spirit" !

This is basic Christian teaching. However, from the standpoint of Scripture, you want to re-read Revelation:
A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant …] She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.”And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. …] When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. …] Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.

Who do you think is the woman’s offspring?

Why does the Holy Spirit speak in the Canticle of Canticles as follows:
Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee. …] You have captured my heart, my treasure, my bride. You hold it hostage with one glance of your eyes. …] Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee. …] There are threescore queens …] and virgins without number. My dove, my undefiled is but one. …] Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun …] ?

On the Cross Jesus said to John ‘behold your Mother’ ,and to Mary ‘behold your son’

All Christians represent John as Sons of Mary and like John all Christians have Mary as a Mother
