How many non-Catholics here watch EWTN?

Perhaps, but when I walked you through the Mass a couple of weeks ago, you seemed to come out of it with a more favorable opinion, especially about the homily. It certainly doesn’t seem to be hurting your opinion of the church.

No, but its more neutral. Mostly entertaining, they do not explain stuff very well, unless its a re-production of a mass, other than that they just do a lot of songs and talk in latin lol.

I just think this was unnecessary.

When on the occasion I watch EWTN ( wish it was on XM ), I find it much better than any of the n-C Christian progams, except “Davey and Goliath”.

That’s not completely true… you just don’t know what shows to look for. You should watch some of these shows:

The Journey Home (Each week they discuss the faith with a convert to Catholicism from a different religion or denomination)

Crucial Questions, Catholic Answers

Crash Course in Catholicism (with the authors of the extremely popular book “Catholicism for Dummies”)

Anything with Father Corapi

Anything with Father Groeschel

I get home at 5 on Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri’s, then I workout, then I get on here, and I go to bed at 10.

On Thursday I get home at like 6:30 or 7:00 then workout then get on here, I rarely have time, Mother Angelica is not very good if you ask me, I much prefer the Mass ones.

For the record, the dolphin is also a name for a fish in the Gulf of Mexico, so that means nothing to me.

I told these girls in my class what my main course for a Hawaiin Luau project we did was Roasted Dolphin lol, I never got so many evil stare’s in my life.

I think that I would have found in interesting even if I was still a non Catholic, however.

It’s all relatively new to me.

Before I was Catholic, Christian history was blank from 75 AD to 1500, for the most part.

I do not read about Christian History. I read about Military History and Greek/Macedonian History. I enjoy the art of war. Cannot wait to join the Army to become a professional soldier. Of course, if you think about it, Spartans were much better than us in this day and age. To be raised from birth to become physically superior to all is amazing. I’d rather have a hybrid though, of the Athenians Intellect with Spartans Strength.

You’d be ok with most of the heresies discussed on this show, I would think. They’re talking about things like Gnosticism, Arianism, and Monophysitism, which even Protestants condemn as heresy.

What price glory? Spartans were usless anything else. Their need to rely on slaves lead to their downfall.
