Who’s afraid???
Honestly, if you want to promote
something, put it in the Prayer Intentions Forum instead of lecturing CAF member about what you think they “ought” to do and assuming we don’t do it
It is not a pray Intention ,it is a Question.,do you know the different,s between two I mention. God for give you for fining fault with me. STOP judging me,for we all have fault,s. AMEN :harp::harp:

Your OP is a judgment.
It should be a prayer intention. It would be way more effective and less judgmental.
You always do this.
You make these accusations, and then get angry when people post an honest response.
Why are you the arbiter of what Catholcis do or don’t do?
I’ll put you on ignore if you want.
But these constant criticisms are not helpful to anyone. I for one, am not going to chime in on them.
As someone else rightly pointed out, it’s most uncharitable.
Once again, you read my heart. But it’s ok for you?
Wow.
Bye.

AMEN :harp:

I wear a brown scapular under my clothing and carry a rosary in my pocket. I’m always playing with the idea of a lapel pin or medal on the outside but I have an internal conflict about it: shouldnt I be trying to live the faith more fully and publicly rather than as an accessory? Should I do both?

When I see people with certain items my heart leaps a little. There’s a guy in my neighborhood with a round button of a Jesus icon. I see older women with medals pinned to their coats. There is another older gentleman who wears a small picture of Jesus on cardboard tied around his neck with a simple cord. It looks very penitential and/or (please God excuse me for this) pathetic, I can’t decide. Personally I like seeing him but I’m sure many people just will not understand it.

I’m just not sure which way to go. Part of me feels if it’s a bit hard or embarrassing it might be the right thing to do. The other part of me feels that I’ve already alienated many of my older friends by just professing my belief, do I want them further away from my Christian example by wearing pins that might trivialize my faith to them? The mind reels!
