How much do you drink?

Nothing. I quit at the ripe old age of 26, 23 years ago.

So if you’re trying to crunch numbers, I’m going to throw it all off.

In my prime, it was 8-12 beers at a sitting, once or twice a week.

I almost never drink.

I used to partake of a few drinks every now and then when I was younger, but I never found anything I liked the taste of. Eventually, I thought “What’s the point of this?!” and decided to stick to soft drinks that I actually enjoyed and which were considerably cheaper. 😃

I was actively involved in AA for many years, and sober during all that time. I started having bad dreams about “accidentally” having one drink, and destroying all that sober time. So I tried drinking again---------------

And discovered that I had lost my taste for the stuff.
I do like Seagram’s 3.2 drinks-- liquor store owner thought it would be a good place to start.
Seagram’s Wild Berry
Seagram’s Bahama Mama
Seagram’s Strawberry Daquiri
Seagram’s Fuzzy Navel
Seagram’s Jamaica Me Happy
Seagram’s Tea Breeze
Seagram’s Blue Banshee But it has been months since I have had one.

I think you will find that most people here or much more like Ned Flanders than GK Chesterton in their attitude towards alcohol.

I drink on weekends. I drink when I am happy and stop before I make myself miserable.

I don’t drink beer at all. I do have some wine at special events, but usually just a taste. My wife will have a beer when out with family or friends, maybe once a month.

Dry house here. Unlike some, I dont have a problem with mild social drinking. We just dont do it and our lives are better for it.👍

Drinking every day and hangovers do not necessarily go together. As a PP stated, in many cultures - traditionally Catholic cultures - people drink every day, but it is associated with a meal, not just drinking to drink. So if someone says they have a glass or wine or 2 or a beer with dinner, that is far different from popping a cold one as soon as you get home from work.
What’s wrong with popping a cold one when you get home from work, provided you don’t have any other responsibilities for the evening?🤷

Rarely – a few times a year. I like a beer at a barbeque on a hot summer day. Not much for wine (don’t care for the taste) and no longer care much for hard liquors either.

Mainly special occassions for me. Holidays and whatnot. I had some drinks this past St. Patrick’s day and that was the first time that I had that much in almost 3 years.

Not a thing my friend. We are on the same page:thumbsup:

I’m not a heavy drinker, thank God.

With Sunday dinner, we’ll open a bottle of wine with the family, red or white depending on what we are having.

In the summer time, I’ll enjoy some beer with family/friends during a barbecue.

Most other people who don’t have a problem with alcohol don’t worry about how much anyone else drinks. Could be a relative or friend of an alcoholic, too.
This is my thoughts too. Drinking daily does not indicate a problem…many people I know drink daily and don’t think twice about it, as there is no unmanageability in their life regarding that.
If you question it, or have lots of rules regarding your drinking, then I would be concerned.

Yep, I pop a cold one after work, or with dinner on most days. Sometimes I’ll have more than one if its the weekend.
Not during lent though! Gave up beer for lent, so I only pop one on Sundays now.

Since I don’t like other drinks that much, its been a pretty dry lent. 🙂

I do not like the taste, so never. I also try to avoid from any liquid that has calories.

Drink what? And why does it matter?
Presumably alcohol. And as to the second question, the OP already addressed it. And why does the answer matter anyway? Respond to the question or don’t.

If it’s in the house, usually one a night.

I like beer and I like trying different beers. One of the stores near me has a decent microbrew selection so once a week (if I can) I pick up a 6-pack of something I’ve never tried before and enjoy it the rest of the week.
