I cried in private following my grandfather’s funeral a month ago, but beyond that I can’t tell. I’m not one to dwell on sadness; I’m hard-hearted about, I suppose. If I can’t change something I just don’t think about it. Besides, crying and sadness in general reveal weakness, and no man wants to be regarded as weak among strangers. Family’s different, though. Pride has no place when it comes to honoring kin who’ve passed on.
