How often do you do to Confession?

Just interested…thanks. I go about twice a month. It really helps!
 
Same which is the number of times on average I read a month
 
I go weekly - I find it really helps me remember my sins, and from falling into a rut of committing the same sins over and over again - Confession breaks that cycle for me. 🙂
 
A minimum of once a month. It’s probably more like twice a month on average though.
 
On average I’ll go every two weeks unless I need to go weekly. But never less than twice a month.
 
OK, I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t go that often. A) It isn’t offered very often around here, unlike where we used to live I could have gone every day and 2) It’s hard to get there with a bunch of little kids in tow. So to answer, I go about every 3 months, give or take.
 
is not an American thing. I have been to Mass in many Asian countries and in all cases people can receive on the tongue or in the hand. The Church allows both and neither is more or less reverant than the other or it wouldn’t make sense to permit

Confession is not just about ‘confessing’. It is in my experience also part of the Church’s healing ministry 🙂
 
Weekly, on Saturday afternoon. It is a seamless part of the Liturgy of the Hours and the Holy Mass. It is also a good occasion to say the Rosary before the Tabernacle.

Weekly, on a Wednesday or Thursday. The cathedral is a 10 min walk from the University I attend, which is extremely convenient when I have a four hour break, and don’t know what to do with it. 😃

You quoted me completely out of context. I never said anything about Confession! What has Confession got to do with what I said? In fact you have taken my comments from the thread on Eucharist on the tongue or in the hand.
Please explain why you are crossing threads quoting me or I will complain to the moderators.
 
As rarely as I can let myself get away with. (I’m overscrupulous, and can can guilt myself into going over small sins. It’s just not healthy.)
 
Once a month. If I go any more frequently, it sends my scrupulosity into overdrive.

Even though I believe heavily in weekly confession.
 
I go about every two weeks. I’m going tomorrow (actually techinically today I guess), but this time it’s been three weeks since my last confession.
 
I go whenever I feel the need … which is usually between once a week to once a month – closer to the once a week. In addition to my parish having weekly confessions on Saturday, there is a church in the area that has daily confessions before their 6:30am mass – so I can go any day that I feel the need and do not have to wait for a Saturday … I just have to wake up a couple of hours earlier.

Who is it that is discouraging you? Point out to them that JP2 went three times a week and Mother Theresa went every day.
 
I try to go weekly and like some posters above I find it is a tremendous force of good in my life. The grace of the Sacrament is very evident to me when I attend frequently.
 
Depends on when I mess up. Sometimes it is a month or so, other times it could be weekly 😊
