How often do you pray the Divine Mercy chaplet?

For the Divine Mercy Novena and maybe once or twice a year in addition to that.
I can’t say it’s a devotion which really appeals to me and sometimes I find it difficult enough to say a rosary each day! If you feel it would be good for you to say it more often though go for it. No prayer is ever wasted.

When I promise here on CAF that I do it. I am in EOC it is not a prayer we practice but I like it a lot.
I found an app that helps me say it without worrying about the numbers so I can concentrate in thinking it as I say it.

I participate in a group that prays it every Tuesday evening. It’s been going on for nearly three years.

The occasional times when I’m in my car at 3pm I listen and say the prayer along with EWTN radio which broadcasts it daily at 3pm. Of course not on the rosary beads so I’m not sure if this is technically praying the chaplet.

I do it online. My rosaries are dedicated to 4 different intentions. The LOTH is for the glory and praise of the Trinity. I use the Divine Mercy chaplet for those on CAF and those in need (for examole, the victims of the synagogue shooting and the shooter).

I’m aiming to do it 5 or 6 days a week. I’m averaging about 1 to 2.

I do a full rosary every day. However, I’ve been wondering about doing the Divine Mercy chaplet a little more often. I think what’s stopping me, is that I was under the assumption that it was mostly used for prayers for dying people.

Not that it’s a requirement, just my thoughts I guess.

Also, as a parent who’s lost a child, I find much solace in the 7 sorrows Chaplet.

Also, most days I pray a st Joseph Chaplet, I believe it saved my marriage.
But ok I’m getting off topic now.

Does it get tiring to do devotions? Any advice for those considering them? They all seem so pretty (yeah I know that’s a pretty vain reason).

Not if you have a great reason. Saying all 20 decades knowing that one set of mysteries is for vocations, another for the poor souls, another for a specific group of persons, and another for a very special intention (for example, the Pope). The Divine Mercy chaplet is for current intentions that do not fit in any of the four rosary intentions. Actually, I really only like praying the Glorious mysteries. I pray because I care about individuals or groups. It helps when you write down what you intend to do. I plan a 54 day rosary novena for the poor souls. It really helps to see it in black and white.

I aim for a daily rosary but I don’t say the Divine Mercy chaplet all that often, however my Girlfriend is in RCIA this year and seems to have quite an interest in the Divine Mercy devotion, so I expect that will change soon. She has chosen St. Faustina as her confirmation Saint and already wears a Divine Mercy medal.

I always pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet after praying the Rosary everyday. 😃

I find it easier to walk with them, sometimes. Plus gets your exercise in!

If only more of us had the luxury of beautiful and scenic places where one could pray such devotions, that’d make things easier (and probably more peaceful). At least there’s parks and there are some of us who are still fortunate enough to live near a natural space.

I work on Fridays, but I bring my Rosary beads in the van (I’m a delivery driver) so that I can pray the chaplet at 3 o’clock. I also try to incorporate my Sacred Heart devotions to the Divine Mercy chaplet. I pray the novena every Good Friday and for anyone I know who is sick or dying. I know it helped convert my grandfather back to the faith on his deathbed; he was an agnostic lapsed Catholic for decades before repenting and receiving the last rites of the Church.

I pray the Divine Mercy every day, for the past couple of months, usually at 3:00. What happens if you pray it without a specific intention in mind? I assumed by the wording, that basically it is a plea that Divine Mercy will be given to the one praying it, and to the whole world upon their death. Is that about right? Should a specific intention be made, or is it good to just pray it?

I pray it daily, I felt the need to pray it one Lent and then after Lent I just sort of carried on and now it’s part of my routine.

I pray it when the pain of sin really gets to me
I like how short it is

But I want to get into a rountine with the rosary
I pray a Divine Mercy Chaplet when I want Divine Mercy and get off my lazy butt to actually pray
