How often does your parish offer confession?

TLM or NO? Seems that from what I’ve seen and read about, only TLM’s offer confession every single day.
Plus cathedrals, shrines/pilgrimage sites, and monasteries.

I suspect it has less to do with the form of the Mass and more to do with the number of priests available.

True. There are a few parishes in my diocese that offer only the OF Mass and have Confession scheduled six days a week.

I’m not sure if the number of priests is a part of that or not. There is a TLM in my town and there is only one priest and he is available every single day for Confession except for Thursdays.

In my experience, churches which offer the TLM or are exclusively TLM do offer confession more often. An example is last year when I was traveling to Kansas City and needed to go to confession. The diocesan cathedral, which presumably has several priests available, had confession twice a week for about an hour, neither if which time I was able to make. The local ICK church offered confession every day at a set time, and 30 minutes before every mass. I have had similar experiences in other places.

There are some NO-only parishes that do offer abundant confession opportunities. Some offer very few. You get both extremes. But I think a TLM parish is almost guaranteed to have frequent, if not daily confession. At least, I have yet to discover one that does not.

Half an hour on Saturday’s from 445-515pm.

That’s all they ever offer.

I attend a NO Mass each week and offering on Saturdays and by appointment isn’t too bad. Wish it was more but with a parish of its size, I’m sure the Priests have many obligations. I probably would return to the TLM if Mass was offered on a more regular basis at different times. The only time on Sundays is a Mass at 3:30pm. It is held in a chapel that is part of a NO parish. When the NO parish needs the chapel though, things have to be rearranged. Hopefully, one day, God will bless them with a more stable situation.

My current parish does Confession during most Masses. I think there’s only one or two Masses throughout the week when it isn’t offered. There’s also an extra Confession on Saturday that starts about 2 hours before the Saturday evening Masses and continues through them. I think you can also schedule Confession.

Potentially 24/7. Normally Saturdays, 3:30-4:30. Remember that addendum “Or by appointment”?
Calls are cheap. The restoration of a right relationship with God is priceless.

We should certainly still pray, even in mortal sin. That will help us get back to confession as soon as possible.

No, ordinary form. It’s always been this way.
