Actually, how about answering the one about the core doctrines? Don’t PM. A “public” response is more appropriate on the CAFs.I will answer these questions one at a time via PM
What do you believe these core doctrines are? How do you know? Is it because of the Tradition of the Catholic Church or is it because of the Scriptures telling you something is a “core doctrine”?
And what do you make of widely varying opinions of non-Catholic Christians regarding what they believe these core doctrines are (as cited in post #196)? Isn’t your position that even with a “decentralized authority” that you agree all seem to agree on “core doctrines”?
And, the other one I’m hoping to hear your thoughts on is this: how do you know the Holy Spirit inspired some folks to write without error, and that this suddenly stopped…when? How do you know this? Why did it stop? Does Scripture record this or do you know this by some other tradition? Is this tradition infallible?
