Iād have to say that heās as real as a heart attack. I have absolutely no doubts about it, anymore. When I was younger, I also fell for the tripe that I had heard about the devil, and hell, not being real. During my āsearchingā phase, I questioned just about everything that I had been taught by my family and the Church. Then, I had an āencounterā with pure evil in a ādreamā. I probably would have shrugged it off as ājust a dreamā if I hadnāt woken up in the middle of it, and still seen the flames and faces all around me as I got out of bed, walked around the house and woke my husband, because I was so scared by it. It still took a long while for it to finally disappear so I could go back to sleep. But, only after saying many prayers to the Blessed Mother to, please, make it stop! :bigyikes:

Amen to that! That is super scary!!!
You have just made me believe even more.
Thank goodness for our Blessed Mother.![]()
And, Amen to that, too! I think it was very soon after my dream that I first learned that prayer. Now, I always say it, every night, before going to sleep.Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Some would say that a truly loviong being would not let the powers of evil fully develop if he could prevent it. But thatās another thread.Satan and his angels are real. I have seen fallen angels appear and disappear before my very eyes. I have woken up and literally felt hands closing in around my throat and squeeze. The hands did not release until I managed to in some way call out to Jesus to save me. The Name of Jesus has real power. Some brothers prayed for me and it never happened again after they prayed.
When Satan rebelled and put a question mark on Gods character, God did the only thing a loving God could doā¦confine the problem beings, Satan and his angels, and let the fruits of evil fully develop so that all of the intelligent beings in the universe can clearly see the true nature of Satans claims.
The cross removes all doubt concerning the characters of both God and Satan. Satan, in urging the murder of the spotless Lamb of God, reveals how truely evil he and his alternative principles are. Jesus, in emptying Himself out and sacrificing Himself show the selfless love of God and His infinite concern for His precious creatures.

So letās seeā¦the ultimate deceiver noticed you in a questioning mood, in which it would have been easy for him to deceive you, but instead he sent you a dream that convinced you he was real and drove you to prayer? Seems unlikely. Or did God send you the dream? If so, why prolong the torture until you were desperate? Doesnāt seem very Godlike. There is a third explanation, which is that your brain is one of those which can enter an REM (Rapid Eye Movement) state characteristic of dreams, while being awake. This is not an uncommon phenomenon in spiritual experiences of all religions. SeeIād have to say that heās as real as a heart attack. I have absolutely no doubts about it, anymore. It wasnāt all that simple. The whole thing was a response to many things that I was struggling with at the time. Confirming the existence of the devil to me, was just one part of it. I was also questioning the existence of God, as much as the devil. This from someone that had always been very devout, before I went āsearchingā. I had been reading some stuff about the occult and other religious beliefs because I was curious about what other people believed. I was beginning to head in the opposite direction than I had been going in the past. I was basically āplaying with fireā, and I knew it. I think this dream was meant to be a āwake up callā, to remind me who I was and what I already knew to be true. In fact, in the dream it was as if someone standing beside me was holding me back, at a safe distance, to protect me from getting too close. So letās seeā¦the ultimate deceiver noticed you in a questioning mood, in which it would have been easy for him to deceive you, but instead he sent you a dream that convinced you he was real and drove you to prayer? Hey Credendum,Satan IS real. Recently I began to pray the rosary more often, and soon after that, a Catholic acquaintance of mine suddenly started hating me out of the blue. The realm of darkness is aware when Godās Church steps up to pray, and influences those vessels who are either spiritually slumbering or willing to cooperate with evil.

Sure. Iāve been talking with her for several months now, and every time we talk, she encourages me to persevere in the faith. She encouraged me through RCIA. Yet soon after I began to pray the rosary more often, it was as if someone took her identity and warped it. She was not herself - talking about suicide, being a slut, etc. Totally NOT her. So I asked her what was going on and she said, āWhatās wrong? You donāt like my new tune?ā Then she stopped speaking to me. I wonder if she is really doing the talking now.Hey Credendum,
If not too personal, can you give more details? What do you mean āout of the blueā? Perhaps your friend was just having a bad day? I just want to make sure we (praying the rosary) donāt have the āvictimā mentality.

More evidence Satan is real[/SIGN]
Some people give up their souls to Satan, and actually worship it. See an ex-Satanistās story:

Another brilliant link āFreeSpiritā. I have read the book āThe Riteā. It is based on Father Amorthās exorcisms. Have you read it. The movie, just released in July/August was good too.[SIGN]Even more evidence Satan is real! [/SIGN]
Here is an interview with one of the most respected exorcists, and well known, Father Gabriel Amorth:
