How secure are you in your Catholicness/Protestantness?

Lol. But relating back to the original topic, security in one’s Catholicness/Protestantness is undoubtedly crucial for going on a forum of the-other-side. I can easily imagine someone not only losing sleep, but also neglecting to eat and shower, because “Someone is wrong on the Internet!”

P.S. I recently heard a talk about the parable of the sower. (Very familiar but it seems like it’s been quite a while since I heard it.) One of the four soils, the rocky one, struck me particularly. (No, not because of my name.) The Lord tells us that in this soil the seed sprouts immediately but has no depth.

I considered starting a new thread about this parable, and I may yet, but it also struck me as relevant to our discussion about insecurity and defensiveness. And, expanding the topic slightly, the tendency many of us have, when given a opportunity to convince others of the rightness of our beliefs, to simply say “It’s obvious”.
 
My faith has been formed by Catholic theology and praxis for the last three years now. The only thing I’m unsure about is how long it will take me to complete the jump from the one to the other…
 
I don’t see me bailing from the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church. My reversion was a long process that is now very firmly settled in my soul.
