Naaah, it’s about ten years old. Funnily enough I believe you 😉
So are we on mutual terms now or is there something else you would like to clear up? despite the bitterness in this conversation it is a relatively interesting experience. 🙂

Glad to hear it 😃

Yeah, our bark is worse than our bite, mainly because we do get a fair few antagonistic troll types around here.

What do most of the trolls say/do?
And you do admit now that it really is a valid question right? even if it did take a bit of bitterness to show that.
one more question in your opinion what will happen in my after life if I do decide to go through with my serious plan?

Oh, that all Catholics are going to hell, that we’re idiots to believe in a God in the first place, that we’re idol worshippers, that we worship the Pope, all sorts of fun stuff …

You want the honest answer to your question? I don’t know. You know what the general principles are about sin are by now - in particular in regard to the homosexuality and strippers business.

But I can’t read your mind or heart, and obviously your eternal fate depends on what you personally are thinking and feeling, and your level of knowledge as well, not merely on what you do.

Stupid trolls if they truly don’t believe in Catholicism surely they wouldn’t believe your going to a place that is taught in your religion to begin with.
Wait if lust is a deadly sin and I comit it doesn’t Catholicism teach that I would go to hell? (unless I repent)

Non-Catholic Christians believe in hell too, ya know - and even Muslims if I understand correctly.

And no, you don’t automatically go to hell in your scenario. You have to know it’s a deadly sin and freely consent to doing it. There are all sorts of things like habit or stress or coercion - or possibly ignorance - that mean either your knowledge isn’t good enough or your consent free enough for it to be a deadly sin.

Doesn’t mean you’re totally off the hook, but it may mean you aren’t damned to hell. A nice comforting note to finish on 😃

Ok great I suppose I’ll go to sleep now cosidering its 2am. Thanks for the chat 😃
Although I would sort of like to know what happens if I know the Catholic take on this subject understand it and stilll do it but believe without a doubt that the Catholic take is incorrect.

This is a serious question. Although I honestly don’t care about the catholic view on this I am curious.

In the Catholic faith I’m curious to how sinful this situation coming up is.

Ok well I’m gay and my cousin is gay, hes getting married to his boyfriend and I’m his best man so I want to plan there bachelor party. I’m thinking of getting male strippers. So added onto the gay marriage and such how sinful in the catholic faith would this be? like do you think I’m going to hell or what? this is a serious question despite how it was brought on by both humor and curiosity.
First of all, there is no such thing as a gay marriage. Marriage is a union between a man
and a women. So definitively the term marriage cannot be applied here. Marriage is no more available to any other situation just as all are contrary to the essence of marriage.

Being gay is not a sin but all homosexual activity is objectively grave in nature. Homosexual acts committed with the knowledge of its objective gravity and full consent of the will is a mortal sin. Left unrepented this could leave one eternally separated from God. We call this hell. God ultimately judges but you would be at a grave risk.

Male or female strippers take a human being with body and soul and contorts them into an object of gratification. This we call lust. When a stripper is performing they are utilizing their body for the mere sexual stimulus of another. Human sexuality which is ordained by God for a married man and woman to live in the covenant of God’s love and to express that love with each other is gone. The soul of a person is ignored and what results is the ultimate in selfishness. Using people in any degree is a sin. Using someone as merely an object for pleasure degrades that person to an inanimate object. This activity would also result in mortal sin if the gravity is known and still given full consent. Again one may be eternally separated from God if this sin remains unrepented in the Sacrament of reconciliation.

So in closing, this should be the last post of this thread if it is truly a Catholic perspective you’re looking for. There are no other answers in alignment with Catholic teachings. That’s it, my friend and whether you accept it or not plays no relevance here because I stated the teachings of the Catholic Church. None of this is open for debate. God is the ultimate judge but living a life that separates you from His will could eternally separate you from His loving existence… Be careful and you are in my prayers…I don’t know about your previous posts so I treated this as if it were an authentic post and will close with that thought…God Bless…teachccd

Thank you. I asked you for the Catholic take and you presented it to me. Although you may be correct that the Catholic take is not open for debate the credibility of the Religion itself is.
Ps: Don’t ask girls at school if you can get male strippers on ebay…it doesn’t please them.

You’re welcome. And don’t worry because I am a 48 year old happily married man. I don’t talk to schoolgirls nor am I looking for male strippers. 😉

shadow fire,

I am glad that you sought this Catholic board for answers involving your situation. It means that you are thinking about the moral implications, even if you are for just a brief moment. I struggle daily with sin and I can attest that it is very difficult to overcome sin. None of us can say that we are better than you as we have *all *sinned.

I do not know whether or not you are culpable for your sin. Only God knows that. You can do a search on the Catholic forums to to find answers to your specific questions. However, I am sure that you will find that the Catholic faith does not condone what you are doing.

I will pray for you. We would also appreciate your prayers.
