Thank you for this reply, and what a reply.

I’m a old serious Catholic. I don’t have time to waste playing games. Any question I ask, is sincere.

I thought Catholic Answers, was a Catholic organization dedicated to answering legitimate questions, about the Catholic Faith.

Some things I’ve been reading about Pope Francis upsets me. I’m upset to have many Catholic friends that no longer attend mass, and I would like to understand why, and perhaps resolve their issues.

If my questions may or may not be answered by a sincere and knowledgeable person, I’ll not be asking any.

Ranger Bill

Not sure how I might do that. If it’s out there, it’s out there.

Thank You, Ranger Bill

You’re right. That is what Catholic Answers is. But you need to go to the main site for information on how to contact the actual people on the show.

This forum is associated, but not with the personalities you see/hear on TV/radio.

But… many reasons people leave the faith & most are beyond our understanding if we’re truly honest about it.

Do what you can, try to understand but at the end of the day, only two things you can do.
  1. Witness to them. Just talk to them. Let them know how it pains you they aren’t there on Sunday. Let them know what it means to you to be there.
  2. Pray. Ask others to pray for them.

That sounds like an “urban myth” that has held through the modern age.

“They” who are the power behind all of the governments of the world. Some people say it is the Rothchild family, others say it is aliens (or that the Rothchild family ARE aliens!).

Remember, we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and rulers of darkness in high places (in other words, fallen angels). I promise you Pope Francis does not support fallen angels.

If a troll post upon your thread, answer him not, for verily the trolling will not cease, nay, not until the end of days, and maybe not even then.

I would just like to add, that perhaps Ranger_Bill could have some Masses offered for their conversion back to God and His Church.

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

A perhaps over-simplified question makes for a complicated answer. Define your terms! What do you mean by NWO? And so what if Pope Francis supports such a scheme? He is not speaking for the entire Church, but is offering his personal opinion - which again has qualifiers attached.

What if I asked, “Are you in favor of putting XXX minority in jail?” with no further explanation?

Loaded question, right? One which requires a context and a definition of terms.

If you want to ask a question of an apologist, you’d want to contact the radio show.

Right now, you’re just posting in a public forum to no one in particular.

When I was in Evangelical circles, they often spoke of a “New World Order” as being a bad thing because they felt this would lead to the reign of the Anti-Christ on earth–a one authoritative government with a world-wide monetary system which would force all men to receive the 666 mark on their hand or on their forehead in order to buy or sell.

Because of this “hard sell” on the part of Evangelicals, the term New World Order has become another word for evil–at least to many.

Does the Pope want world-wide peace and security for all? Yes, he does. Does he want what the Evangelicals believe a “New World Order” means? No, of course not. I think this may be why many are asking you what you mean by the term “New World Order.”

I failed to understand the procedure for using Catholic Answers. I also failed to realize how many different areas it offered.

I also failed to understand the term’Apologist’, and how it’s used. Still don’t. My dictionary fails to define it.

Thank you for the tip on ‘main site’.

I know we have a problem with falling numbers of folks attending mass. Sixty ago Terre Haute, In. had six Catholic grade schools, and a Catholic High School. To day we have one small grade school and a very small, so called high school. We have also closed
three Catholic Church’s.

I’m searching for answers, but failing. The Protestant churches around here seem to be flourishing.

Enough for now, Ranger Bill

Ah, I remember Schulte High School. Terre Haute faces the same issues as many areas: a decline in the number of priests has lead to the combining of parishes and closure of some. And declining numbers and rising costs struck the Catholic schools hard, especially in this area that did not have large Catholic populations to begin with. The schools along the southern border, particularly in Evansville, are faring somewhat better. The concentration of Catholics in this area is much greater.

We have to trust in the one who called us. He has not left us, though it might seem that way. He will separate the sheep from the goats, just like he said. We shouldn’t be surprised that there will be more people on his left than his right.

We should grieve over the fact. He does. You be the best Christian you can be, reach out, fast, pray.

Then trust in the one who is good. The one who is trust worthy. The one who always keeps his Word.

If you’re referring to the Ask an Apologist subforum, sadly that’s been shut down for years now.
That was what brought me here to CAF in the first place. I was carrying on interesting conversations with Protestants of various persuasions on other websites, and I needed to make sure that my pro-Catholic arguments were legit.
