First of all, i apologize if anybody finds it inappropriate to post about this, but this is a genuine question that i don’t want to ask anyone I know in real life, for obvious reasons.
I am in the process of becoming Catholic now and i have been to confession twice before. I know the priest has heard it all, but to be honest i find it more difficult and extremely awkward to say that sin by name, especially since I am a girl
I have said i have “given into lustful thoughts before.” Is that acceptable? Are there other ways to say name the sin without actually saying the word? I do want the priest to know what I’m talking about, since I do want forgiveness for it. But I’m facing a huge hurdle with just saying that word.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
Edit: Also, since I wasn’t very specific in my earlier confessions, does that mean that my earlier confessions would be invalid? I genuinely forgot about it the first time and the second time i said the thing about lustful thoughts
