It seems that my daughter, who is no longer Catholic, has just found out that GOD really does exist. She now wants me to go to her church, attend her bible study, etc. She wants to save my soul. I tell her that I have always known that God exists but she says that I don’t really understand. When I go to visit, she has bible quotes all over her walls. She was brought up as a Catholic, attended Catholic classes, received the sacraments, etc. I don’t understand why she did not believe what she heard in her religious classes and and all of a sudden she is a modern day St Paul – although she did not get hit in the head like St Paul did.
She is married with 3 children and they all are in the same situation. I feel separated from them. The only time I see them is when I go to bible study with her and the family. We used to be close and now they are too busy praying to come over.
Like your husband, she has no room in her life for anything but God. I don’t kow what to do except accept her decisions and try to stay as close as she will allow. I love this family very much and don’t want to lose their relationship.
