Well…I saw the Apostles Creed and Nicene Creed in the book that Protestants use.
It is interesting this thread came back…I really was tempted the other day to give to the book to the mother.
Well, my kids are moving out of the house, blessed with great work out of state and they are driving through alot of storms out here in NW. They had to go for training,
My daughter said they’d leave in morning…it was bad weather…tried to reach her…went to work…then I saw on news that so many roads were closed in the state they are returning back to mother in law’s house to get their belongings.
I was concerned about the mother in law and how they did with 100 mph winds. And then asked about my daughter, and she began rebuking me about not having faith in God and having negative thoughts. I told her I was just calling to get information and was concerned as I couldn’t reach her. She began rebuking me even stronger, and I apologized and got off the phone. I was shook up…that is my kid.
Yes, I was shaken for quite a while but in the meantime, seeing my son in law the weekend before…some how I had this sense he will become Catholic some day and my daughter and I are having our relationship renewed…
I wanted to mail that book, but then I felt I should just be an adult…this happens all the time among in laws, and just pray for her…already another relative told me…the mother in law decided to stay with her instead of at our house, that she spent the entire evening talking about positive thinking…
I will keep the book, look at the footnotes but because this is family, I think I will have to especially look at the Cross and not get insecure like that again. But the behavior is not looking too healthy either, so put it in perspective.
