No, you need to politely tell them that this is a problem and give them a chance to address it. That’s what you do. And you tell them if they don’t and the dogs scale the fence again, you’re calling animal control and you’ll let the law handle it.You seem pretty adament that I need to speak more to the neighbor, but you have no better idea than I do as to what I should say. I already told them I don’t want their dog in my yard and that I consider the fact that the dog got in a safety issue for my children. What more do you think I should be saying?
Do you think I should demand that they exchange the dogs for poodles?
Do you think I should threaten to shoot the dogs?
Do you think I should ask nicely for them to be tethered?
I really thought that was a foregone conclusion.
