How to know for sure that the gods and angels of ancient times including Jehovah weren't actually ETs?

People that believe that the first chapter of Ezekiel refers to aliens need to read the rest of the book.
Wouldn’t necessarily help. If you’ve seen Ancient Aliens, they’re pretty much convinced that all religious encounters ever were actually ETs.

The word “extraterrestrial” means NOT FROM EARTH. So yes, god AND his angels are in fact extraterrestrials.

Where are they now?
well, they are still visiting earth each and every day, all around the world, just look at the UFO reports on a daily basis! sure some are likely mis-identifications, but not all of them, especially the close up ones, where the witnesses get a very good look at a completely silent, big as a football field craft slowly moving thru the sky above them.

I think they were definitely what the ancient civilizations were seeing and assumed they were gods, since they had this ability. Strange thing is though, to this day, we still dont know what they are or why they are coming here.(well, the general public does not know anyway)ed

BTW, if anyones interested, I have a Dept of transportation document from the 1950s that clearly says UFOs are of more significance to our Govt than the H bomb!!! Says it right there is black and white on an authenticated Govt document, straight from the Freedom of Information act website. I can provide it to anyone who wants to see it.

Sorry about that-I only used a definition to answer the question. I hadn’t meant that I believe the biblical portrayal of god, jesus or “his” angels. Back then, illiteracy was rampant and everybody acted loony. LOL The sun would “go away” and they believed it was the end of the world EVERY night. I think the public has changed and we are looking to understand more about the big picture. Could I check out the document? If you haven’t already, you should check out “Dying CIA Testimony”, and the movie “Zeitgeist”-BOTH are things everybody (skeptic or not) should watch.

I find that such illiterate and simple people who “could come up with” something so profound and so spot on in topics such as morality and forgiveness to be very compelling evidence of the existence of God and Jesus as God, because I dont think such simple people had the capability or literacy to creat such teachings all on their own that are so releveant that even 2000 years later are not outdated.

I don’t think they were ET’s because I don’t think ET’s can
  1. bring the dead back to life e.g. Lazarus
  2. predict the future
  3. know the hearts and thoughts of men
  4. multiply loaves and fishes
  5. make people suddenly talk in tongues, understand multi languages (Acts 2:4-6)
6)Instant healing, various sickness, blind can see, deaf can hear, mute can speak
7)cast out demons (or are these bad ETs?)
    etc
Lastly, do they know who their creator is? How did they come into existence? Or did it start with “Once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away”.

Do you know of any ETs that can do all these?

I always thought this topic was interesting. It seems plausible given our human imagination and advances in technology. On the other hand, I feel like it’s a bit condescending.

The more I learn about the Bible (Old and New Testament), the more I’m convinced that if Christianity in particular is indeed the result of aliens and such, then they’re really, really smart. Really smart. And, I would still want to be on Jesus’ side, because he must have had some kind of “in,” seems to be on our side, and knows something I don’t know about. He seemed pretty convinced about hell, too.

As a side note, I watched some “Ancient Aliens” the other day, where they hypothesized that the old Ark of the Covenant was some kind of nuclear device. I mean, just think! Lightning, Moses’ changed appearance, brought down the walls of Jericho, someone died if they weren’t supposed to touch it, strict handling procedures, caused hemorrhoids amongst the Israelites enemies, etc. It’s gotta be nuclear. I wondered this, though. The books of the bible give very specific details on how something is built. The building of the ark didn’t sound like a nuclear device to me. They said they put the stone tablets, the manna, and the staff of Aaron in it. Anyway, it takes no consideration of the fact that the largest branch of Christianity sees the fulfillment of the Ark in the person of Mary.

Please pardon my rambling, but I think it’s kind of interesting. Certainly food for imagination.

I personally believe God created the alien beings, but MUCH earlier than mankind was created, and needless to say, they have advanced technology, just as we would if we had been around for 10s of 1000s of years, We are already going into space. wont be too long before we can travel to other systems…probably within the next 100 years.

It is still possible SOME of the UFOs may be demons trying to fool mankind into thinking another one of Gods creations is their creator, this takes credit away from God.

Furthermore, I think its highly possible our Govt is aware of these alien beings, but are hesitant to tell the public about it, solely because it would show proof of God being our creator and would blow darwin out of the water…I think this is one of the major reasons why we dont have full disclosure about UFOs and aliens.

And who created aliens? Why go for a ET solution when a biblical answer will do? What is so sexy about an ET solution anyway. You are looking through the lens of science trying to look for scientific explanations even when there is none. And when there is no scientific explanation , the ET trump card is held up as if that is a credible alternative to God. The Bible is not a science text book foremost. But it seems you have made up your mind about how the science fits into the Bible. I urge you to go back to basics and put ET back into the science FICTION category. This is your soul. No ETs and science going to help you if you one day found that Jesus on his judgement seat wearing a Star trek uniform asking you " you rather believe in Et’s than me huh?"

You won’t find the truth about this until you try to see it from an unbiased perspective. Your’e saying that something you’ve never met, seen or were even told about (accurately) is something you know everything about. What if they are an older civilization? With technology that we won’t achieve for a million years? Who says something like that couldn’t have extra sensory perception? Or understand more than a couple languages?? Why would they believe in a creator-Are they christian? Would they care? Maybe they are christian, and found “god”. I don’t know any that can, but how many extraterrestrials do you know that CAN’T do these things?

I certainly didn’t intend to give the impression I believe it! It’s a thought experiment, and some people do believe it. I think it’s charitable to consider their claims, if only to learn how to respond.🙂

You are totally correct. ET is something I’ve never met, seen or even told about it. God is different. Many ancients have met with him, interact with him, lived with him, followed him, seen him perform miracles, followed him around, died for him, wrote about him. Throughout the centuries, we continue to hear of God’s interaction with certain selected people i.e. saints. ET and UFOs, I have not seen, read, interact with anyone who has experience with ET. I have not heard of any message from any ET, do they have a message for mankind? Have you? You sound knowledgeable about ET. Please share your unbiased experience with us.

Given these experiences with God vs ET, tell me why should I give ET a chance? I do read science fiction novels and novels from Erich-von-Daniken in my earlier days, but I have moved on. Extrapolation and conjectures are fine mental exercises, but they are not for me when my soul is at stake. So far all you have stated are a lot of what-ifs. Let me give you one. What if your Pascal Wager goes bad? You lost everything for eternity.
I don’t know any that can, but how many extraterrestrials do you know that CAN’T do these things?
I don’t know of any unidentified ET that can do anything. Do you happen to know any? You seem to know they have certain powers. Introduce them to us. Please, please, please.

Well, you certainly seem to have succeeded in enticing one to come out to the open.😃 I expect the discussion to be a somewhat limited one though since I always asked for supporting reading materials before I start serious research and so far research on ET seems to have fallen on hard times. Conspiracy theories are everywhere but nothing solid to show for it.

I think constant Scriptural formation is really important when answering claims of ETs, because deeper understanding has made at least myself more aware of certain issues. I think that what you said is very true-we tend to force our paradigm on previous eras. I can honestly see why this is an attractive field of speculation for many folks.

You can tell I was badly catechised in my youth by the Erich-von-Daniken and similar books that I read. I couldn’t even handle simple cheap shot questions by my Methodist classmates.😃

I have no doubt they are hiding something. I’m not sure what you think Darwin studied, but his work does not conflict with sciences related to extraterrestrial life. Can you explain why you think it would result in “proof of god being our creator”.

I do not believe in the existence of “gods” or a “god”. I believe souls exist. I believe in a realm, a place, or an existence after death. I believe in extraterrestrial life. I can’t prove “god” doesn’t exist or the existence of a soul. Can you? I can’t make anybody believe what I do and I’m not trying to. I’m only asking questions that should be asked.

Of course that is your right to believe whatever you wish. But the topic wasn’t on whether you believe in god or gods or whether souls exist or existence of the soul. Let us get back to the topic of ET.
I believe in extraterrestrial life. I can’t prove “god” doesn’t exist or the existence of a soul. Can you?
In a previous posting you claim ET has all these powers or at least gave the impression that they have all these powers and I quote “but how many extraterrestrials do you know that CAN’T do these things?” I am only asking you to support what you said, support your belief. If you can’t , then just admit it and move on. What is the point of making all those conjectures if you knew there is nothing to support all your whatifs? Why ask all these questions in the first place?
I can’t make anybody believe what I do and I’m not trying to. I’m only asking questions that should be asked.
No one asking you to make us believe what you believe. I just want you to answer a basic question about ET powers that you claimed that ET has. Since it is clear that nothing will be forthcoming, let us just treat this session as idle chitchat then.
