How to prove that God does exist?

Only in those who are competent to understand the proof or don’t have some other impediment (such as irrationality standing in the way of acceptance). I wouldn’t expect many were convinced initially by Einstein’s general relativity theory because not many were in the position to comprehend it fully.

I suspect there is a general prejudice in modern society against proofs for God’s existence because of the prevailing spirit of self- or ideological sufficiency. Many self-proclaimed atheists wouldn’t have the bones to acknowledge their own dependency and frailty, except in ways which are socially acceptable – too much is at stake for them.
 
I believe so.
Angels by the force of their intellects know of and accept that God exists. Yet faith was more than this and was still required.
Some failed in this regard.
 
And even if the universe has existed before time began as Sagan postulates in his last sentence, how would that prove that God doesn’t exist? Aquinas never said that that was the case especially in his argument from motion.

Concupiscence wounds, it does not corrupt.

Even us with new natures (whose nature is no longer sinful) suffer from concupiscence.

I never said completely sinful! And i never said He does not heal our nature by giving us His own.

You certainly think you represent Jesus without blemish.

A wounded nature is also a sinful nature. I didnt say purely sinful.
 
Always remember, Leonardo Da Vinci was a Catholic. Einstein also stated that “imagination is more important than knowledge.” If you think of imagination as a mockery of God, you are wrong… consider that Einstein would have replaced the word imagination with faith.
 
Einstein was remarkable, as he was a member of Princeton’s NAACP and fled Nazi Germany as a Jewish person, believing himself as such (a minority) I would assume he believed in God. Yet, I do not have the research to support it at this time.

From a logical perspective, a Jewish person cannot really be Jewish without the book of Exodus. A person of such deep thought who was so deep in their thoughts they forgot to wear pants while teaching a class, he would likely have calculated his identity before making a final determination of joining a group such as that.

From what i understand, I dont believe he did. But i could be wrong.

Fr George Lemitre was and incredible mind and soul!

I would love to see him canonized a Saint! He criticized the Pope for assuming his “Big Bang” theory was proof of the Creator.

I don’t glorify people of the cloth with profound scientific ideas nearly as much as I do Da Vinci because God made his IQ off the charts. If he pursued holy orders I think we could assume he would have blown us all away. It is possible that we respect LGBT persons because of his alleged record of bisexuality, but you never know. Michelangelo who painted the Sistine Chapel practiced homosexuality. Diversity in the Church is leaning more to being celebrated than simply honoring priests. And, as not to take away from them but to honor their duties are more like the apostles, who left the world as it was helping common persons acknowledge Jesus Christ.
 
And so the unlearned can be more pure than the itellectually gifted.
 
That does not apply. Those who accept Christ accept he who sent him. Learned. But, I like where you are going with that!

Everyone who has heard the Gospel of Christ is “learned” of it. Whether they accept it or not will determine their purity of heart.
