Problem is, this thread might not be a very good representation of the scores of members of this forum because…uh…who’s going to want to post his score if it’s less than perfect?
Well, having said this, I also ought to say that the humility of those who posted their less-than-perfect scores is quite edifying.
Hah! I always knew I was a 100% traditional Catholic. You’ll have to share the title now.
That’s right; I got 100% too. That settles the debate about being traditional without being attached to the TLM, paramedicgirl.
That would be right as of the Baltimore Catechism but as I recall the teachings have changed some to encompass more than that.
I sat there puzzled over that question too. I knew the Baltimore Catechism said “soldier of Christ,” so of course that’s what the quiz would count as correct. But what settled it in my mind was that Confirmation doesn’t really make one an adult in the Faith so much as it completes the sacraments of initiation.
Hmmm… What is the two biggest Holy Days? I said Good Friday and Easter… I knew both were part of Triduum so I chose them but I also thought Christmas and Easter sounded right. I couldn’t remember.
That’s another question that had me pausing (sometimes it’s not good to know too much). Liturgically, Good Friday is ranked above Christmas.
However, that’s because it’s part of the Easter Triduum; in other words, Holy Thursday and Holy Saturday are ranked with it. Since the question asked about only two feasts, it’s apparent they couldn’t be talking about the Easter Triduum since that would mean more than two. So basically the two feasts they were talking about were two
joyful feasts: Christmas and Easter. Also, another way you could look at is
Easter meaning Easter Triduum; that would include Good Friday.
