How would you deal with this?

Today, I saw a car from a private drive cut off a vechile on the main road and then showed their IQ to the driver who cut them off. The driver of the other vechile went back and salted her drive with nails that driver had an vanity plate that is easy to remember.

What would you do with this situation?
 
Report it to the local police and tell them what you saw. Also find the phone number for that address and try and call that person to warn them of the nails and things.

You could ring the home door bell and tell that there are nails and such hazards on their drive way, No one home? Find abroom and start sweeping up for your neighbor:shrug:

Funny 😛

I would sweep the nails up. Calling the police will not solve anything, in a constructive way.

Then you can decide if you want to leave the nails for the rude driver, in a bag with a note from you.
 
I decided that she needs to suffer the consequences of flipping others off and let the nails be.
 
I’d grab myself a cold beer and a bag of popcorn and pull up a lawn chair when the rude driver gets home. 😉

Do a deal with a local tire shop to split the profits if I can get the rude driver to call them out. And obviously record her coming home for YouTube, it goes without saying dudes. 🙂

I’d report both of them, otherwise next time they see each other it could end-up in a car chase and someone getting hurt. Only thing is I’d want to stay anonymous, being frightened of those guns that folk carry around on your side of the pond.
 
Worst case, someone gets a criminal mischief charge and you get caught up in a mess that isn’t of your making. An anonymous tip to the cops might be an idea, but don’t go on the other person’s property. You could get accused of putting them there yourself.

Road rage is a bad thing and among neighbors could be even worse.

Neither person is in the right. Drive carefully and courteously. 🙂

Take about 5 seconds to empathize with the nail tosser…

then get a broom.
 
I seriously doubt eye contact was made, therefore I doubt road rage will come into play.

And, yes I see flipping one off as the greater evil here because one is insulting the image of God in the other person which is much worse than a mere flat tire or four.

How about someone stepping on a nail and it going up into their foot? :eek:
 
being that the nails are at the end of the drive and the nails are not sticking up out of a board that is not very likely. Think about it, the last time you stepped on a nail was it just laying on the ground? not likely.

Do not drive here in California, where single digit driving is the norm and you would go broke buying nails. :cool:
 
I would not even consider wasting nails that way. too many things to build.

By the Way, has anyone here ever gotten a courtesy driving ticket?

Actually…

The last time I had a nail go through my foot it was just ‘laying on the ground.’ M’just sayin.

Of course, the last time I had a STAPLE go through my foot it was attached to plastic laticework and IT was just laying on the ground…but enough of my own klutzy history…

I’d say likely. Just this summer my son stepped on a needle used to pump up balls that was left laying on the lawn–the whole thing went up into his foot. It wasn’t attached to a board–just laying on the lawn.

If you were having a bad day and in an uncharacteristic move did something such as this driver did–is this how you would want to be treated? What’s the golden rule? At times we all do things we are sorry we did. Do you know this is standard behavior for this person? Do you have all the facts needed–to render your judgment? Or may you be unaware of something?

So I could inflict any amount of damage to your property just as long as I don’t insult the image of God in you? Is that the gist of what your saying? I am also not sure I see this action as insulting the image of God in the person. In this situation isn’t it more like saying --you idiot do you know what you did–watch what your doing stupid. Not great/not charitable–but insulting the image? I’ll need to think about that.
Worse than inflicting economic damage on someone–what if they get 4 flats and don’t have the funds to repair them–maybe they can’t get to work, maybe they lose their job, then maybe they can’t feed their kids.

Who in their right mind has time to go back and throw nails on the driveway of someone who cuts them off? Or flips them off? Who carries nails in their car?
When did we get so–whats the word I am looking for–that getting flipped off or cut off leads to this kind of behavior? For the sake of his sorrowful passion have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Actually, I hold the record for the number of courtesy driving tickets at 269 now. A courtesy driving ticket on the front looks like a ticket with the words thanks for being a courteous driver on the back is a coupon for something like two free passes to a movie or eating place.

The golden rule is He who has all the gold makes the rules.

Even if I did cut someone off I would not flip them off, I would hold up my sorry sign. I have three signs on a stick in triangle, one says sorry, the other thank you and the last Hi there.

I assume every other driver is going to mess up and drive defensively.
