I cant imagine any one, just elected Pope, being so arrogant as to take the name Peter. Can you?

Actually, I was thinking “that’s solid hubris, picking the name of the first Pope”.

That said, I don’t put stock into doomsayer prophecies about the end of the world. Thief in the night and all of that.

I would say there is a reason there has only been one Peter. Out of respect for it being his seat, and rest are successors.
