How's your patron saint?

My confirmation saint is good old English St Thomas More, what a man. My thoughts/prayers often go to him. Right now I am embarking on the life and works of St. John of the Cross and of Charles de Foucauld.

St. Thomas, the one of Dydimys. I think that’s how you spell it 🤷

Mine’s St. Francis of Assisi. My family has so many animals, I find myself talking to him more than any other saint.

I don’t have a patron saint. I am an oblate of St. Benedict and am very devoted to him but I would not consider him my patron saint. Actually like most things (colors, food, music, movies), I don’t have a favorite saint.

Mine is St. Odilia, she is one of the lesser-known saints. My confirmation saint is St. Ignatius of Loyola, my choice was influenced by my (now late) Jesuit uncle whose intellectual facility and uncompromising spiritual stretching I always admired.

I also don’t have a patron Saint because I pray to all who are willing to pray for me.

I did name my daughter after Ste Therese de Lisieux after having 4 boys in a row. She prayed for me to finally have a daughter 🙂 I used to call my daughter the Rose amongst the thorns. As a child, she used to play a game which included “Princess Rose” (whoever that was) in her imagination. 😃

Also, Blessed Frere Andre is a blood relative as he’s my great grandfather’s cousin on my mom’s side. He’s the spitting image of my great grandfather too 🙂 They (my grandfather and mother) kept the famous “Frere Andre” nose too lol, I didn’t inherit it, but am hoping to inherit Heaven as Blessed Frere Andre has.

I also love Padre Pio

But as I said, I’ll gladly beg for prayers from all the saints that are willing to glance my way 🙂

Mine is St. Giana and she’s doing very well. I’ll tell her you asked. 😉 She’s busy praying for all the mothers and babies in the world…it takes up a lot of her time.

I was named for St. Therese of Lisieux, and chose St. Giana for my confirmation last month. I love them both.

(I think the original thread title is cute. Hugs to the OP)
It was nice of me to ask, wasn’t it? 😃

I’ve a long time devotion to St. Jude,
but also have a special love for St. Lucy
