Human rights’ report lists Vatican for failure to protect children
VATICAN CITY (CNS) – Amnesty International named the Vatican in its annual report on human rights’ concerns for not sufficiently complying with international mandates on protecting children from abuse.

It marked the first time the Vatican was named in the group’s Annual Report on the state of human rights around the world. The 2011 Annual Report covered human rights in 157 countries, looking particularly at rights abuses and restrictions and at failures to implement international rights’ agreements.

Amnesty International is pro-abortion - the ultimate deprivation of human rights.
 
Um, yeah, they needed to do this maybe 50 years ago. Not now.

But then again they’d have to do it even more so for ever other religious organization and the school system especially.
 
It seems to me that because we have been so unfaithfull to the Truth, we have been handed over to pagan nations to be judged by them. How sweet it is to hold to the Word of God.

Not “sufficiently” complying; not “not complying.” And praise for Benedict XVI for addressing the problem and taking action. 🙂

It smarts to get such crticism, but it appears to have been done fairly with no ax to grind against the Church.
