A sea of flowers and tributes marks the place in Glasgow, Scotland, where a popular Muslim shopkeeper Asad Shah, 40, was attacked after posting Easter greetings to Christian friends on his Facebook page.

A Muslim man will appear in court today in connection with what police are calling a ‘religiously motivated’ murder.

Very sad. This should hopefully open the eyes of those who think violent islam isn’t here in the west. All the man did was send out a friendly greeting and was murdered. This is what we will have to fight and beat back into submission again, like was done with the Crusades.

I saw this news story the other day. what a shame! he was living by the Gospel and his Islamic faith as well. How sad he was targeted for wishing Christians a Happy Easter. such hatred by the perpetrator of this act.

God bless Asad Shah.

Richard the Lionheart and Saladin praised the chivilary of each side during the Crusades. What history have you read up on the Crusades, because most Christian European leaders throughout history have viewed Saladin as a noble Muslim leader…and btw during the Crusades there were Muslims siding with the European Christians, Islam and Christianity have never fought each other…contrary to what Anti Christian Muslims and Anti Muslim Christians say.

My friend the man who sent Christians a Easter greeting was himself a Muslim…so there is no such thing as violent Islam…thats what the bad guys want us to think. Islam is beautiful, and Asad shows us this by wishing Christians a happy Easter. And I have Muslim friend who wish me a Merry Christmas and I tell those Muslims Happy Ramadan on Ramadan. So yes, Islam is the strength, as in the hammer that will totally crush the bigotry that we see from ISIL just like many heroic Christians and Muslims crushed the bigotry that occurred during the times of slavery…when Christians and Muslims owned slaves. Well today we see some Muslims and Christians doing bad things…but I won’t give credit to the bad guys by labeling their actions as religious. I dont understand why some journalists are labeling the actions of criminals as religious, this a new phenomenon and none of the major writings of the 1st -17th century use terms like violent Christianity or violent Islam, or radical. But these days, we are seeing folks connect the terms violent, extremist or radical with religions(numerous religions) and I hope that it does not become popular.

Because there was one Muslim leader who actually abided by the rules of war does not excuse the conquest and violence of Islam, nor how it was spread through violence. It doesn’t excuse 4 centuries of death and conquest from Islam before the west responded to halt them.
