Oh, Roosh V the pickup artist!

He’s also the author of “Bang Ukraine: How to Sleep With Ukrainian Women in Ukraine.”

You can get it for just $9.99 on Amazon Kindle.
Too bad CAF doesn’t have a vomiting emoticon… Ewwwwwwwwww.

Only $9.99??? How could I pass that deal up? When you consider how much a Ukrainian mail order bride was going to cost me, that’s a steal!

Sorry, OP, for the digression. (But it was fun!)

Now, back to our normal scheduled programming!

Uh, Roosh isn’t someone who I would call much of a role-model.

And here I thought posting Dalrock was a little aggressive. The only fitting end to this is for someone to post from Jezebel 🙂
Would you like a link? 😃

How does this play out for you in daily life with your wife? We have lots of posts on these kinds of threads quoting Ephesians, but not many real life applications or detailed examples. It would be nice to read from those responding how it actually works on a daily basis in their marriage. That might cut down on some of the drama that usually gets going when these threads are started.
I will answer that.STOP!(In the nice way) keep asking.

You’ve been asked that on other threads, but you don’t answer. that’s why I felt that you needed asking again. I, along with others on this thread, will be interested in hearing what you have to say.

Would you like a link? 😃
Link? You shouldn’t even be reading! If you’re interested in learning something you should ask your husband or father to find you a suitable source and then lovingly but firmly explain what it means and put it into context for you.

I’m thinking there will be someone posting that in all seriousness very soon on here 😉

Coming to this as someone totally nutrual who agrees that there should be a leader in the household and it should be the husband I think you are both wrong. I think it’s really sad that you wished to avoid having children for awhile because it would be inconvenient. Even though you didn’t say it directly that’s the gist of it. Now your wife is wrong for crying and screaming to get her way and and insisting on going to her old parrish when you feel it’s not in line with the church or questionable. So you’re both wrong but still learning. I’m not married myself but this is really a no brainer. You both need to place yourselves in the other persons shoes when making decisions and stop thinking as to individual but as a partnership. Your the CEO she the vice president. Like as someone else suggested you can’t come to an agreement then seek out a third party to moderate till you come to a better understanding of each other. 👍

I am newly married (about six months). I have had a hard time figuring out how the leadership role is supposed to play in terms of a husband being a leader. My wife and I have talked about it and she has (at least verbally) agreed that as far as authority goes, the husband should be the ultimate leader of the family, and in the case of a disagreement that we can’t find unity on, she has agreed to let me be the final decider on the matter.
1.In many case’s your wife would,Let you be the ultimate leader, reason is because this is her natural thinking she would naturally agree with this,“The Family Needs A Head”,you can’t have two leaders in a family, you can’t have to prime minister’s for a country, she knows that the husband is the leader and this is natural thought for most women, but some may pretend this is not true.

Now I am not a domineering person in any way, shape or form. My wife could attest to this. I always listen and am willing to change my mind if I feel that the needs of another are not being met. However, I have found this leadership role is very hard to put into practice. I feel that with my wife it is never just a settled matter. I feel that my decision will be constantly questioned and undermined until I finally give in and give her what she wants. And yes, we have talked about this and she has even recognized this tendency in herself but it still happens (she doesn’t necessarily think about it when she does it, it just comes naturally to her). So I guess my question is how I ought to respond to this.
2.But later in some, relationships the women would start rebelling, the bible indicates this, “Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you.” Genesis 3:16.

"Yet your desire will be for your husband” God said to eve you will attempt to control you husband later.

“And he will rule over you."God said that the husband will rule by force.
For every Adam’s there’s an eve.

The reason why “she doesn’t necessarily think about it when she does it,it just comes naturally to her” It is because she is a sinner, yes and we are to,she will later attempt to control you, when she does this she may be aware/ignorant that she is trying to take control.

You will experience that whenever your trying to lead, you would come across this issue. Your wife even though she said, before that you should lead, her inward sin(original sin)will keep on fighting against her and if she’s influenced by any of these ideologies it will act like a catalyst such as the (power of double standards for women ideology)+(the wrong feminist view of equality confused with gender roles)+(and inward heart of self desire there isn’t any fallen human being without self desire everyone has it but in different levels) and all this will fuse an “NO,I can’t agree with that thought.

How you ought to respond, you can respond but that does not mean that it will work. You can’t force someone to submit to you,but it must come from her heart at her free will from the goodness of the heart, submission does not mean you force someone to follow you it must be something that must come from them, remember true women will submit to there husband.

Here are the things you can do.
Since your called to be like Christ, you need to think to yourself “what would Jesus do question”
  • Jesus never demands our submission. He invites it with loving-kindness.
  • Jesus laid down his life for his bride, the very model of sacrificial love.
  • Jesus’ only motivation was to do the will of the Father (it was his very food)
  • Jesus did what he did for the sake of the Kingdom (represented by your marriage)
Keeping these things in mind, explain to your wife that your desire is to have a biblical marriage. Tell her that your understanding of this includes a God-given level of authority for husbands. Emphasize that this is not about who is better or worse, smarter of dumber, who is more or less capable, but that it is simply a scriptural mandate. Share with her what you have learned about the bridal paradigm and how it has impacted your thinking. Don’t pretend to have all the answers about what all it means – none of us does – but ask her to help you figure out what it means. Your desire is to take this journey of discovery together.
