But don’t start begging your Wife on this, don’t accept then that since you can’t lead your wife, lets just agree with what she says or lets take turns then because A 50 - 50 arrangement, where the husband and wife act as co-managers, will lack the example of authority which the children need. They will be deficient in recognizing authority in other situations in life, in school, in the state, in the Church.
The breakdown in respect for law and for figures of authority such as teachers and law officials, such as police and leaders of states, all point back to a lack of authority in the family. The lack may well stem from not having a true head of the family, from a wife who shows no example of submission and of recognition of authority which children can follow as a model.
Some would say that marriage is where the husband and wife puts in 50/50 but this won’t work.* for a number of reasons.

You can never meet all of your spouse’s expectations.
Inevitably you focus on your spouse’s weaknesses and failures and lose sight of your own.
It’s impossible to know when your spouse has met you halfway.

Also a 100/100 marriage won’t work why? Just one reason
It’s impossible to know when your spouse has met you 100%
The truth about marriage is that its not 50/50 its not 100/100 but its 100/0.
100/0?
This means that you give without expecting to get something back”unconditional Love”And unconditional love glorify God.
It mean’s that the husband put’s in 100/0 wife puts in 100/0 and if its like this it would work, but equality is not to be confused with the rules of husband and wife. The husband must allows be the leader in the family, and the wife must be the heart of the family and she freely giving up herself to her husbands lead and the husband willing to die for her,its is to say but not easy to do,so deep trust in God is needed and prayer’s.

This answer I gave may not be perfect, second answer to your question I will answer that later.

And remember that a some person here, will be ready to dishonestly say NO to this without even reading it,or reading it not properly.

Oh, Roosh V the pickup artist!

He’s also the author of “Bang Ukraine: How to Sleep With Ukrainian Women in Ukraine.”

You can get it for just $9.99 on Amazon Kindle.
that’s disgusting. A person is posting this as a response to leadership of men in a marriage?
Horrible.

2.But later in some, relationships the women would start rebelling, the bible indicates this, “Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you.” Genesis 3:16.

"Yet your desire will be for your husband” God said to eve you will attempt to control you husband later.

“And he will rule over you."God said that the husband will rule by force.
For every Adam’s there’s an eve.

The reason why “she doesn’t necessarily think about it when she does it,it just comes naturally to her” It is because she is a sinner, yes and we are to,she will later attempt to control you, when she does this she may be aware/ignorant that she is trying to take control.

Bitter forecast – the result of “pride” ingraining itself in the heart of men.

Bitter forecast
VATICAN CITY, APRIL 2, 2010 (Zenit.org).- Here is the homily delivered today by Capuchin Father Raniero Cantalamessa, preacher of the Pontifical Household, at the celebration of the Lord’s passion in St. Peter’s Basilica. The liturgy was presided over by Benedict XVI.
Violence against woman is never so odious as when it nestles where mutual respect and love should reign, in the relationship between husband and wife. It is true that violence is not always and wholly on the part of one, that one can be violent also with the tongue and not only with the hands, but no one can deny that in the vast majority of cases the victim is the woman.

There are families where the man still believes himself authorized to raise his voice and hands on the women of the house. Wife and children at times live under the constant threat of “Daddy’s anger.” To such as these it is necessary to say courteously: dear men colleagues, by creating you male, God did not intend to give you the right to be angry and to bang your fist on the table for the least thing.** The word addressed to Eve after the fault: “He (the man) shall rule over you” (Genesis 3:16), was a bitter forecast, not an authorization**.

John Paul II inaugurated the practice of the request for forgiveness for collective wrongs. One of these, among the most just and necessary, is the forgiveness that half of humanity must ask of the other half, men to women. It must not be generic or abstract. It must lead, especially in one who professes himself a Christian, to concrete gestures of conversion, to words of apology and reconciliation within families and in society.

Anyone who wants to read this material is perfectly capable of going onto the other websites and doing so. I’m much more interested in learning about experiences from your life that pertain to this topic. Plagiarism can get a thread shut down and I don’t want that to happen, because I am interested in this topic and the OP would benefit by hearing others’ perspectives supported by their own life experiences.

This poster has made it clear on several threads that they don’t care what threads get shut down or how many times they’re banned, they’ll just keep opening new accounts.

Given that, and given the problems inherent to Hesso’s every post… WHY DON’T WE COLLECTIVELY AGREE TO STOP FEEDING THE TROLL AND GO ON ABOUT OUR DISCUSSION? THE ATTENTION ONLY ENCOURAGES IT.

Yes. Sounds like a good idea. I’m in.

I’ll go with that.

If the OP hasn’t been scared off for good, I’m specifically wondering about his underlying motivations for wanting to attend his parish.

I was about to accuse him of overthinking the entire matter and being overly anxious that his wife’s parish was going to harm his child. But I went through the thread again and I can’t find where the OP actually expressed that concern – I can only find other posters projecting that concern onto him.

Given that the OP is somewhat of a CAF regular, he’s probably strong enough in his faith that the “bad” parish isn’t going to do him in. So it ultimately comes down to one spouse’s feelings versus another’s. Regardless of the hypothetical merits of a husband having veto power in a marriage, this doesn’t seem to be a good case for it.

Me too. I don’t understand why so many posters keep engaging with one particular poster, given that s/he has an obvious agenda and successfully gets every thread s/he posts on rapidly shut down, thus silencing otherwise interesting discussions. Not mentioning names as I can’t be bothered getting deleted by any over-zealous mods: it’s obvious who it is.

Like we used to be told as kids: if someone’s annoying you, totally ignore them and they’ll get bored and go away. Engage and they’ll keep coming back for more.

I can understand the problem, because I assume the OP and his wife are looking for different things from parish life. The wife probably sees the parish as an extended family and social network. The OP probably sees the parish as a place of worship and teaching. Both are appropriate, but can pull in different directions.

As a husband, I value the social support that our parish gives my wife and children, and I know I can get good teaching elsewhere (not that our priests don’t offer that). I’m happy for my wife and children to be happy with our parish. I’m not saying the OP should neccessarily take the same approach, but he should certainly strongly consider his wife’s perspective.

And, as others have addressed, children under a certain age simply don’t listen to homilies.
