O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Praying in earnest for DH who is flying to the West Coast on Wednesday for a job interview. Asking the Holy Spirit to guide his words and actions during the time he spends with his interviewers. May Our Lady cover him in her mantle of protection as he travels and encourage him as he prepares for this important meeting. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in Thy mercy hear and answer me, Amen.
 
Praying for Our Lady’s protection over DH as he flies out tomorrow morning. May everything with his flight, transportation and accommodations go smoothly and according to plan. May he be well rested and well prepared for his interview Wednesday morning. St. Joseph, patron saint of workers and St. Catejan, patron saint of the unemployed, pray for him.

I love you Lord. I know that despite the setback in my husband’s career that you love us. I know that nothing happens without Your purpose and plan.

I lift my husband up this morning and ask that you bless him with Your favor during his interview. Let him be peaceful, calm and anxiety free. With the aid of the Holy Spirit may he answer all questions wisely and thoughtfully. Help him demonstrate his abilities in the best possible light. Please allow DH’s work ethic to shine through. May everyone who meets him today genuinely like him on a personal and professional level.

Lord, I thank You for this opportunity DH has to meet people who need his skills and knowledge. He needs new employment and is qualified for this position. Let everything today and in the days to come be ordered so that each side can alleviate the other’s problem.

If it is not Your will that DH receive this job, please ease our sadness. Shield us from despair and guide DH to the right people and places where he can find suitable employment again.
