I just finished reading all of your posts to my request for prayers and I went over to my husband to tell him of all of you and I was so overwhelmed with tears of gratitude that I could barely speak. I just know that the power of your kindness and prayers protected my husband during surgery. I really believe that I could feel the energy. There were no complications and the surgery went very well. He now has an indwelling urinary catheter that he will need to have for 7-14 days. We return to the hospital next week to see if the urethra anastamosis has healed enough for the catheter to be removed. The next big thing will be the pathology report. If you most sweet, kind people could pray for my husband just a bit longer that we get good news that the cancer did not break through the prostate, I would be eternally grateful. Oh, please also join me in a prayer of thanksgiving. I have to tell you that my husband’s surgeon is world-renowned but he is the most gentle, soft-spoken, humble man. When he came to speak to me and my husband’s brother after surgery, he said, “Let’s go down to the Chapel and say a prayer.” I was totally amazed!

I thank God for all of you and I am planning on having Mass said for all of your intentions as a way of expressing my gratitude to all of you! :hug1:

Love,

Therese

With prayers for the pathology report and sympathy for the catheter. I found that a real misery, but it is only for a short time.

I’m so glad things went well. I thought of you two quite a bit yesterday. How soon do you get the path report back? I’ll definitely keep you and Rodney in my prayers!

I am so grateful to God as well that all went well and grateful that Rodney had a prayerful doctor. That is very welcomed but rare in today’s world.

I will now keep you two in prayers for healing and recovery and that the pathology report comes back good.

Therese, I will not forget to pray for him. I’m saying a Divine Mercy Chaplet for him tonight! Praise God for the surgery without complication.

Great Joy! …and will pray for his quick recovery.

Deo Gratius!

I’m so very happy that the surgery went well - and what an extra blessing that the Dr, wanted to go to the chapel to pray! 👍

I will offer my Rosary today for your husband!

You see? You might have been concerned for nothing. It was actually the Lord who operated on your husband. He just used the surgeon’s hands to accomplish his merciful work. We continue to pray and trust in the goodness of God.

Christ’s peace be with the two of you, who have become, through the Sacrament, one flesh. You are both being healed by the hands of the Lord Himself…

Christ’s peace be with you always.
