There are just too many missing pieces to this puzzle. There is something going on with your husband that hasn’t been discovered yet–and I’m not sure it’s an affair as others have suggested, though it could be.
I know it’s painful but if I were you I wouldn’t make any sudden moves. Make sure you have a lawyer and are ready to defend yourself, but don’t be the first one to file and don’t be the one to kick him out. Again, this is just my opinion but I think you should carry on as normal and make him do all the dirty work.
One thing that I’m especially not clear on is why he’s so adamant about getting separated as opposed to at least living as roommates for a while. If the following things are true then why is he in such a hurry to get away: 1) You generally live in peace and don’t have arguments 2) There’s not another woman he’s trying to get to 3) He allegedly still loves the kids and wants to be a father to them. Have you asked him if he’d be open to just living as roommates for awhile for the sake of the kids? What exactly is his plan after the divorce…I just don’t get why he’s so eager to get away.
