Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

What I am Trying to get Phooey or A to do is to base their case on evidence or to know what evidence and proof are based on.Their belief is that God does not exist so state their case on fact or evidence whatever you want to call it. If not then it makes no sense for them to be in this forum as their responses are not based on evidence or fact but an unintelligent." because I say so "
I can only speak for the Yahweh character (aka - Jesus) but I have accepted that they are not gods. The evidence is available to anyone willing to read the bible critically.

What kind of answer is that well prove what you are saying.

I know you cannot because you don’t believe. What a cop out.

Everyone here is bending over backwards to give evidence or facts and that is your evidence.

Maybe you are right infants are atheist and atheists are infants. boo hoo

In other words the big bang had one force (action) why are the planets so far away from eachother and why do the planets and suns spin in different directions even without gravitational pulls can definitely with out a doubt state that the planets different rotation and distances from eachother disproves the big bang, That is science.
If you want to use well maybe a planet banged into a burning sun theory and survived well you stick with that. dark energy, lol
My friend, you have a lot to learn about science. Believe me, this is not meant as an insult in any way. But it doesn’t help us to put forth arguments you don’t understand.

Peace!

Who are they?

:tiphat: :irish2: It’s true you don’t have to be here unless you are hoping you will accidentally find faith and be converted.

Jesus stated He would destroy the temple and in 3 days rebuild it.

Jesus told the Jewish priests He would destoy the Temple and re build it in 3 days.

This was done well before Jesus’s cricification and bewildered the Jewish Priests.

After the crucification 3 days later Christ was resurrected and out of the Jewish faith and the temple itself Christianity was formed .

In restrospect destroying the Jewish Community of Jerusulem…
The Jewish sages say Jerusalem was destroyed as God’s punishment because Jews had baseless hatred of each other, same as depicted against Jesus in the Gospels.

Jesus is the Temple of New Jerusalem. According to that interpretation, 3000 years later.

Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

Either you are right about this or wrong. Where are the teachings of this ‘Satan’ of yours? If those teachings are not followed by all atheists, then it is clear that you are wrong.
Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Satan lured Eve into thinking she could be her own God and didn’t need God anymore. That’s atheism.

So then tell me the big bang was one force (blast)

This blast spread matter with the same amount of force in a 360 degree direction. (force)

This force would drive this matter how far?

Speed in space no matter what size would relatively be within a restricted amount of miles because of the force…

A comet it"s trail / an asteroid remains within it’s belt unless something strike them and again a meteor shower large and small all within days such as occurrs over the earth each year
Meteor showers.

What the big bang theory is trying to tell me is that a single force
blasted matter billion of light years from eachother even though the force was equal upon all that matter.

No I think I understand science unless you want to re-educate me with some new (maybe) theories

Right, you have to believe in God first, before this can be considered evidence. Try it without presupposing God though. According to all the evidence of biology, do virgins get pregnant? Let me answer: No they do not. So what is the most reasonable conclusion to draw? For me the more reasonable conclusion to draw is that this event didn’t happen, it is more likely to be a literary creation, or a lie. I am unaware of hour by hour documentation of Mary’s movements approximately 9 months prior to the supposed birth of Jesus. How was Mary’s virginity verified?
Well, I didn’t bring up Mary’s virginity as evidence. I thought you brought it up! Don’t put me on the hook for it now. 🙂
Not that requirement for salvation has been established 😛 And I would find it very disappointing if a God-inspired book was so incoherently written that it required an entire church to decipher it for the masses.
But you’ve got it exactly backwards. God didn’t beam down a book and then say, “Whoops, I blew it, now I need a church.” He established the church first, to help us towards salvation. The point of scripture was never to be a universal manual. Each book in the Bible has to be considered separately, taking into account what the author was trying to do. (Or what the Holy Spirit was trying to do through that author, if you want to be kind of pedantic about it). The best way to do that is with the guidance of the organization that put the Bible together.
(free will) Up until the point of their death, or up until the point where they can’t escape death?
I’m not getting your point. I’m gonna stick with the point of their death, but I’m afraid I’m missing something.

The big bang is not a force that throws matter around an existing space. The big bang is the creation and subsequent expansion of space itself. Clumping of matter within space arises naturally from very tiny variations (at the quantum level) within the initially homogeneous system. The expansion may proceed arbitrarily far, dependent on the total mass of the system (gravity will slow down the expansion, and gravity obviously depends on mass).

None of this is"new theories". It’s all pretty much the original theory. Honestly, it’s kind of silly for you to imagine that the scientific geniuses who developed the theory never considered Newton’s three laws.

God bless.

So you couldn’t decide anything against what the bible says. What if she was going to have her life (and very possibly her health) ruined? Does that matter?
A, at the core of Christianity is the belief that, ultimately, good will come to those who put their trust in God and try to do His will. Of course, this particular case is especially troubling and heart-breaking. I have already told you the initial steps I would take if I somehow had some influence in this situation.

Long-term, I would ensure that she was at a safe, loving place for the term of the pregnancy. I would make sure she was surrounded by loving, compassionate people, be they friends or family. Because of the circumstances, I would absolutely counsel adoption as opposed to keeping the baby. I would do everything possible to make sure the baby was adopted into a loving family. I would pray for the baby and the girl.

Further, I would ensure that professional counselling was available to the girl. Equally as important, I would assure her that God had not abandoned her, and I would encourage her to practice her faith and learn about God’s mercy. Likely she may not be ready for a long time, but I would try to encourage forgiveness…the best way to do this would likely be by my own example. (which would be very hard!)

Getting back to my first paragraph, I can see many opportunities for healing, forgiveness, and compassion in this sad situation. Knowing the hope that Christianity offers, I would not be surprised at all if the girl blossomed into a caring, compassionate woman, and the child she gave birth to was equally as blessed.
What if she doesn’t want to make a baby?
The trouble is, the baby is already made.
I don’t want to get into another discussion about abortion, so I will leave this here, but you have a mind so that YOU can make decisions.
Sorry, A – you left it, and I picked it back up again. You know it’s not really going to rest for very long. It’s too important.
I hope you don’t look to a very old book for answers to very new problems.
That kind of thinking leads to opposing stem cell research. Horrible.
Rape, abortion, and incest have been around for thousands of years. They are not new problems.

And, I am not only looking at Scripture. Please read Evangelium vitae if you haven’t already. If you have read it, please read it again.

and it defies Newton’s proven laws

the expansion may proceed arbitrarily

and what law is this for without force nothing moves.

within the initially homogeneous system

You mean like a hug?

And all of a sudden it stopped !

Next you will be telling me about anti matter.

The big fact here is that the big bang (theory) has less facts and is more a fairy tale

pause for breath
Phooney, are you running a marathon? You’re really going to make us work, aren’t you? …Sorting through your multi-poster, multi-quote posts trying to find the bits you have quoted from each of us so we can respond. Ah well, I like a good challenge every now and then! 🙂

Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
bolded by me for emphasis

Look at the phrasing there. It looks a lot like whoever wrote this is convinced that there are gods. More than one. I wonder which ones they meant. Also clear here is that Adam did not know what evil or good was, so he would not have known that disobeying his god was evil. Then this Yahweh (what a funny one this is) puts a big tasty fruit right in front of him, and goes away, letting Satan into the garden, long enough for Adam to ‘fall’.

Why do I get the feeling that Yahweh and Satan are in on this together? Maybe because they ARE?

Nice passage, though.
