What about Demonic possession were the person speaks in different languages they never knew? and also affirms the existence of hell.

I think “demonic possessions” are evidence that people have mental illnesses that we may not fully understand.

Les I don’t recall a mental illness were you can speak multiple languages. and I have the DSMIV right here.

I am not aware of any scientific studies that have proven people have been possessed by a demon. Do you have a source?
I will say, the stories of possessions are interesting, but that doesn’t make them true.

I am new to becoming a practicing Catholic so the old testament does seem far fetched but thats ok because I’m not Jewish. I don’t believe all of the OT but I do believe the commandments. No I don’t believe that a person got swallowed by a fish and spent 3 days and 3 nights in the belly(OT) but at the same time we have to understand this was written long ago by people who describe things differently than us.

Do you think the “fall of man” happened as described in genesis?

I do not ask you to prove something here from 2000 years ago just to show one of his or your posts that were constructive in proving or disproving there is a God other than feelings. you have not shown one shred of evidence to disprove the simplest of evidence I have brought forth.

All the evidence you have presented here is honestly not enough to convince me that there is a god, and he killed himself on a cross and rose from the dead. The story is too fantastic and would need much more evidence. Something direct, and contradicting the laws of physics, chemistry or biology in the same way as I am expected to believe. (i.e.-if I am asked to believe that he can raise the dead, I want the best scientists studying it…if it has been claimed that he created this entire world, I would demand that he make more of them, while we humans have our best instruments at the ready.

It raining 300 years ago in NY is NOT a supernatural event. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE?

Saying it rained in NY is not the same as saying a man returned from the dead and became a god/savior of mankind. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE HERE?
