BBBUUUUUUHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!Jesus is the refutation of your position.
BBBUUUUUUHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!Jesus is the refutation of your position.
How’s that research going?Yes I need to research that. Some of the examples I made he did change at least that I know of. But I will see into that. I am curious myself because I know that being Catholic we rely mostly on the New testament.
And as for Rambo I downloaded a bad copyso I haven’t seen it yet haha.
You gotta love watching a man in his 60s take on a whole army by himself.
This is absurd. This is laughable. There is no evidence that Jesus existed. Even bible scholars agree to this. Have you been living in a cave your whole life?
This kind of skepticism is based on FACT…
LES
Another highly educated and scholarly observation.BBBUUUUUUHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
You are right about my points in so far as I have attacked any and all misrepresentations.Pax
Yes, I am saying jesus didn’t exist.
Your argument through four of -A’s- threads have been, "You are ignorant of god, You are ignorant of scripture, You are ignorant of the catholic teachings.
I am saying to you that you are ignorant of reality.
Prove me wrong…

I was addressing someone else specifically with that statement.Oh we’ve all considered it remember we weren’t all Followers at one point. But thanks for keeping an open mind.
Is there some reason that I should posit a ‘creator’? If so, what is it?Whats that you don’t have an open mind? Are you open to the possibility that the Universe didn’t just create itself one day, but that there was intelligence involved? Just be open to the possibility.
Should be able to simply present evidence of your claim that a god walked the earth a couple of thousand years ago and expose ikddav as a fool.Another highly educated and scholarly observation.
Perhaps a man named Jesus existed and taught a lot of people. The claim that is ridiculous is that he was a god tossing around miracles like Kreskin. If someone does not believe in God or that Jesus is the son of God or that he is one in being with the Father and the Holy Spirit, then I can understand and appreciate the difficulty.
If someone does not believe that Jesus existed by way of the evidence of history, then I think that they are simply doing so out of a refusal to accept the historical facts. I will no longer address this point, because it is nonsense to insist that Jesus never lived.
You can admit that you can not provide proof of a god existing and that there might have been a teacher named Jesus? You are right about my points in so far as I have attacked any and all misrepresentations.
I do not need to prove that Jesus existed and lived in Palestine. The history is the evidence.
This is not Absurb. Please provide your evidence that Jesus existed. Evidence other than the bible. This is absurd.
Blah, Blah. Please provide evidence !!!Another highly educated and scholarly observation.
I think it was usually someone who heard it from the apostles who heard it from a guy named Jesus.Pax is right, The Bible is written as a pierce of history not meant and remember not meant to be fiction. The Bible is written in Parables because that is how Jesus spoke to the people therefore that is how the Apostles spoke also because they were repeating what he said.
The question is not the existence of a man, but the existence of a god. That would require much more evidence.Since the Bible is not meant to be fiction it is in the same category and any factual book of its time. You can get older writing from Plato and say it is fact because you can prove his surroundings, but you cant prove he existed can ya?
Another belief? Is there any evidence of this ‘Atlantis’? Or is it just another feel-good story?no you cant it was too long ago. You cant prove Atlantis existed even though he writes about it (I do believe it existed)
There never was the flood that the bible describes. It is fiction.and they talk about it in the Bible according to the great flood.
If they started pretending Plato had special super-hero powers I think you would lose the atheists, but I personally don’t care when someone worships real humans. Isn’t my thing, but people worship the oddest things. If you were to take Plato and people would start to worship him then Atheists would come out of the woodwork and say we cant prove he existed at all. which would prove that a lot of Atheists turn their disbelief into a bias Belief.
Since your question in nonsense it is hard to answer, I will try anyway.A
But you didn’t answer the question. Do you believe the Universe created itself out of thin air?
Yes, but without the air.A
But you didn’t answer the question. Do you believe the Universe created itself out of thin air?
A lot of people studied under Plato and wrote down what he said at the time. Not true of Jesus. Most of what was written about him was not written by those who knew him, since they were illiterate Jews. Accounts were written about him in Greek, from aramaic verbal or possibly Hebrew written accounts. Much more indirect, easily infected by pagan traditions, and ALL after Jesus died.Pax is right, The Bible is written as a pierce of history not meant and remember not meant to be fiction. When a person touches something hot, they experience pain to let them know that they are about to damage their skin tissue.Because I don’t like experiencing it myself, so I don’t want to see others going through it.
Your question is a non-sequitur.When a person touches something hot, they experience pain to let them know that they are about to damage their skin tissue.
When a person has a stroke or heart attack, pain is felt to indicate that there is something seriously wrong with their health.
When a person is recovering from a broken limb, pain and suffering are experienced as the body works to heal.
When a person experiences suffering in the form of a severe migraine, this can be an indication of stress or even a brain tumor.
When mothers give birth, they experience extreme pain and suffering.
Given that this suffering is all part of the natural processes of life, and the fact that you hold science and the natural world in high esteem, how do you reconcile your stance with the above?
Why is it that when you paint yourself into a corner you feel compelled to change the basis of the argument? Either Jesus existed or he did not exist. History says that he did while you remain a skeptic. Upon being pinned down on this you decide not to concede, but instead shift the argument as to whether I can prove that Jesus was God.I was addressing someone else specifically with that statement.
Oh, and it wasn’t you.Is there some reason that I should posit a ‘creator’? If so, what is it?
Should be able to simply present evidence of your claim that a god walked the earth a couple of thousand years ago and expose ikddav as a fool.
Unless he isn’t.
Go ahead.
We are all waiting.

You can admit that you can not provide proof of a god existing and that there might have been a teacher named Jesus?
That is pretty much what you would be doing by refusing to provide evidence at this point.
Invisible god.
This is not Absurb. Please provide your evidence that Jesus existed. Evidence other than the bible.

Are you for real? Try reading the complete works of Josephus. He was a Jewish historian of the era and he says Jesus existed.Blah, Blah. Please provide evidence !!!
This is your usual reply, You are laughtable.

Atheists eat babies and spend all their time working out how to make everyone else miserable.Atheists and others not burdened by an oppressive religious system work to alleviate pain and suffering. In the past the Catholic church worked to promote pain and suffering, and to some extent still does—all in the name of its religion, of course.
