So because you believe you have found glaring contradictions, you have decided that you are smarter than an entire nation of people over 5000 years or more who did not see these glaring contradictions. Is that really the most likely scenario?
Just as many people have seen these contradictions so numbers of yrs make up for nothing at all…
Most people where Murdered for pointing out and questioning the bible yrs ago so DONT talk like its never been claimed…
Or you could point at me and shout WITCH and have me burnt.

Come on, Your telling me you never questioned ANYTHING wrote in your bible???

So how was your god created out of nothing?
The First Cause is by its nature without cause. Surely you can see that. Whether it is God or anything else, there must be a First Cause which was uncaused.
I have seen no suitable evidence. Why not present your evidence here? If it is more than anecdotes and personal testimony, I will be excited to hear it.
The problem is, everything I would offer as evidence, you would reject as evidence. Now, what evidence can you offer that the universe came into existence “on its own”?
Just how is being unconvinced a belief?
We must start from what we agree on. We agree that something exists. It could be the universe, or it could be just your own consciousness imagining the universe, but since you are aware, something must exist.

Then we go back to the beginning of this existence, to the thing which is the First Cause, the First Explanation. There must be such a thing. And by definition it cannot have a cause, cannot have an explanation. This much should be clear to theist and atheist alike.

By denying that God exists, it logically follows that you must believe in some other First Cause, First Explanation, even if you can’t name it. For many atheists, their First Cause, First Explanation is simply “I don’t know, I just know it’s not God.” Not very convincing. 🙂 But whatever it is (and remember, it must be, if anything exists), you accept its existence without proof, without evidence.

Thus every worldview that is actually thought out must rest on faith. And worldviews that are not thought out are really not worth discussing.

On the contrary, God spoke loud and clear to him…he chose to REJECT what God was saying…he chose to act AGAINST God…

He is a priest…a MAN…he is not God…he is a sinner, like every other person now on Earth.

God does not CAUSE suffering…the sin of man causes all suffering.

God loves us so much that He allows us to choose our own actions…even if we completely reject HIM.

And may He help ALL who have suffered at the hands of any of His priests to be healed, to find forgiveness in their hearts, and to cling to His Mercy.
A priest is supposed to be the channel to God, The idea that if we cant trust him then we have nothing…
My point being if you channel your confessions through a priest and only a man of God then why cant God channel it back and remind the FILTHY little holy man of his humanly duties??
You cant tell me that its individual humans that do that stuff and not holy people… You try telling that to those Poor little children who in the thousands was messed with by your SO called TRUSTING priests…
Doesnt give you much faith in God…DOES IT???

I am referring to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit…the ONE, ONLY, TRUE, LIVING, and TRIUNE GOD.

And incidentally,

As to “dogs worship their masters”…an animal is not capable of worship…nor reason, nor loving, nor choice, etc…an animal lives an acts on instinct alone.
Can you prove that (first, I think you need to define ‘worship’)? Or did you just pull it out of your opinion pile?
God does not CAUSE suffering…the sin of man causes all suffering.
According to the bible (which you are welcome to treat as fiction - we all do to a point) your god created suffering.
He must have wanted it.

Just as many people have seen these contradictions so numbers of yrs make up for nothing at all…
Then they are also claiming to be smarter than an entire nation of people over 5000 years. It’s not a very convincing claim. So we should consider whether another, more reasonable answer can explain the seeming contradictions.
Most people where Murdered for pointing out and questioning the bible yrs ago so DONT talk like its never been claimed…
Are you suggesting that this statement proves you are right? Rather, to make such a statement makes me think you have run out of arguments and are going to resort to emotionalism.
Or you could point at me and shout WITCH and have me burnt.
No more than you could point at me and shout TROTSKYITE and have me shot. Let’s keep the discussion on a reasonable plane, OK?
Come on, Your telling me you never questioned ANYTHING wrote in your bible???
Yes, but I never assumed an entire nation over 5000 years was so stupid they couldn’t see a blatant contradiction when it stared them in the face.

VociMike:-
As i just pointed out…If people questioned too much of the bible years ago. People accused them of having the devil in them…
That is fact, If i had the choice of going with the flow or being turtured in a horrible way im pretty sure i would just believe and put up with it…
Not only that most people as they do today even rely on the bible being read and explained to them from other people, Like in mass for example…
You cant throw thousands of yrs **** at me…
That dont work…👍

The pic has no real meaning other than, Its a knight bowing in a peacfull manner… You should have seen my last pic…It spooked too many people so i removed it before all the holy people had nightmares…
The doves where thrown in for good measure…
But saying that:- Give me your views on athiests.
Do you think they are demons sent to test you??
Do you think that they are Satan in disguise??
Do you think that all they do all day is think of Fighting people??
You will find that all the fighting is done between so called religous people.
In answer to your questions - No, no, I hope not! and that’s your opinion.

When I’ve asked my atheist friends how their lives are better without God I get silence, except from those who think there will be no eternal consequences for their actions and then sadly assert, “But if there is a God, He won’t send me to hell because I’m a good person!”…

I do like what GK Chesterton has to say on the subject of atheists:

“If there were no God, there would be no atheists.”

“Progress is Providence without God. That is, it is a theory that everything has always perpetually gone right by accident. It is a sort of atheistic optimism, based on an everlasting coincidence far more miraculous than a miracle.”

I am not making such a claim.

To paraphrase, (I would say) ‘I am’. If that is what you mean, we agree this far.
Then we go back to the beginning of this existence, to the thing which is the First Cause, the First Explanation. There must be such a thing. And by definition it cannot have a cause, cannot have an explanation. This much should be clear to theist and atheist alike.
I don’t see anywhere you have shown that this is the case, you have merely asserted that it is true.

Man’s inhumanity to man is not God’s doing.

Man’s inhumanity to man is not God’s doing.
I thought that you believed that the universe and everything in it were your gods doing.
You can’t have it both ways (well, not if you expect to come across as consistent)

Who’s “you”? You’re not quoting me here…

God has given man free will - the freedom to make our own choices. You choose not to believe that He exists, and you’re also exercising this freedom by publishing a lot of posts on the subject of just why you think you’re right and we’re wrong…

He has given us the choice to obey Him, or ignore Him.

And He’s clearly left it up to us to decide for ourselves.

Man’s inhumanity to man is not God’s doing.
But we can sgree that he can do something especialy as they are his servants who are doing it??
If not where is your faith in him if he cant deal with the Devil and Demons and MOST of all his ministers??

My point is merely that if you are going to stand by the position that your god created everything, and give him credit for everything, then he gets credit for the rotten stuff too.

Saying ‘there must be a First Cause’ is not proving it. It is an assumption I wont make with you.
Nevermind First Cause then, and focus on First Explanation. The essence of science is that it explains things in terms of more fundamental things, wouldn’t you agree? But what explains those more fundamental things? If and when we arrive at the Grand Unified Theory, what will explain why the world works that way? What will explain the existence and behavior of the terms in the theory?

It should be obvious that for any thing X there are ideally (when our knowledge is as complete as it can be) one of two things that can be said about it. Either one can say “X is explained by A (or some combination A, B, C…)” or one must say “X has no explanation”. Would you disagree with that?

Now it should be clear that whenever we encounter an X explained by A we can then ask what explains A, and so on and so on. So unless you would argue that there are an infinite series of more and more fundamental explanations, you must agree that at some point we arrive at a Final Explanation, that which we cannot possibly explain, and whose existence we must simply accept.

Do you disagree with any of this?

If these men are smart, they will pay here on earth and sincerely attempt to repent of their sins from their locked cells. If they do not, Christ will deal with them.

But their sins are not God’s doing.

No He doesn’t…

Sin and death entered the world because of man’s disobedience. God’s warnings were ignored.

According to your belief, he created humans to the best of his ability.
Perfect ability, if the Catholics are to be believed about it.
He wanted it this way, or he isn’t all powerful. Take your pick.

Thats mostly other peoples views not yours.
Although I have dear friends who are atheists, I do not understand their viewpoint, and they do not understand mine. We love and respect each other despite our differences, and they always say thank you when I tell them I pray for them.

But He made us **free to think and choose for ourselves -

We’re not robots.**
