Please pray for me. I feel as though I’m at my wits end on several things–my current job mainly but mostly just feeling extremly overwhelmed and slipping into a deep depression. There’s not been a day this week that I haven’t just burst into tears over something whether it be at work or home or in the car. Wherever. I’m not asking for advice because I know that’s not what this particular forum is for but just your prayers. I’m praying every day, not that it get better but that God shows me the path he’s trying to lead me on. I welcome ANY prayers. Thanks a lot.

Praying for your intentions.

Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory Be…

I will gladly pray for you, AngelRose.

Here’s a prayer which has been helpful to some other CAF’ers; I hope it will be of help to you, too:

Prayer against Depression - by Saint Ignatius of Loyola

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.

Merciful and loving God, You conceived of Kristy from all eternity as an irreplaceable part of Your Divine plan. Look with great compassion upon her now as she struggles, and strengthen her for the trials to come. Relieve her anxiety with the secure knowledge that Your promises are true and that nothing may separate her from Your love. In her darkness, may she cry out to You for assistance, certain of Your love and Heavenly care. Grant her an outpouring of faith and love, that she will desire to turn toward You and away from earthly things that obscure Your Greatness. May her every breath be reliance upon You, O Loving Creator God. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen. Alleluia!

Praying for your intentions, Kristy. God Bless you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Turn to us, Lord, how long must we wait?
Let your servants call on you and be answered.
Fill us with your kindness in the morning,
and we shall rejoice and be glad all the days of our life.
Give us joy for as long as you afflicted us,
for all the years when we suffered.

Let your servants see your great works,
and let their children see your glory.
Let the glory of the Lord God be upon us:
make firm the work of your hands.
Make firm the work of your hands.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Lasting depression can be an illness asking medical treatment…Keeping you in daily prayer …

Dearest Lord, you walk with Angelrose each day of her sadness. Shine your love upon her, warm her heart and let her see your brilliant light, that she may find you in her hour of need. Help her to see all that is beautiful in this world that you have created for her, and for all of us. With your heavenly light may she be shown her path, and walk this journey hand in hand with you. In your divine wisdom, may she find understanding. In your mercy, may she find peace. And in your eternal love, may she find her joy and passion for life.
Amen.
