I am the mistress to a married Catholic man, did I doom him to Hell forever?

Catholics believe that engaging in activities such as this are reserved for marriage.
It doesn’t matter what popular culture thinks.
The fact is, he is cheating on his wife by engaging in these activities with another woman. period.
What’s so hard to understand?

If it’s not meant to be taken literally how are we supposed to interpret it?
You have to consent to it. No consent no sin. If it’s an occasion of sin avoid those movies. Make sure you are not watching a movie that is inherently sinful. The usccb has ratings for movies and the ones that are marked “O” are sinful(Mortally or venially) to watch even for adults.

It probably isn’t but his “wife” thinks they’re married and women get heartbroken by their boyfriendS cheating on them imagine the heartbreak she will feel.

Even if there wasn’t some other women in the picture the stuff she described are reserved for marriage and those activities are wrong.

For a Catholic, a “sacramental” marriage simply means a couple followed the church’s rules for marriage. If both spouses-to-be are baptized, the marriage provides additional graces. If only one party is baptized, then the marriage won’t provide these extra graces, but the marriage is still valid. A Catholic must marry according to church rules, even if marrying a non-Catholic.

Non-Catholics are bound by fewer rules than Catholics. **While non-Catholics don’t need to be married by the Catholic Church, they are still bound to a life-long monogamous **marriage. Non-Catholics could choose to be married by a judge, city clerk, a member of the clergy, etc, but cannot divorce. If both non-Catholics are baptized, then they will have a sacramental marriage; otherwise they will simply have a marriage.

He still has to support his partner and child so this is still cheating and a mortal sin

Omg. The movies are dark. How are you looking at anyone lustfully in the movies? I understand that some women purposefully dress in a way to make men see them as objects, I don’t understand the whole “the way they act, what they do” aspect. What exactly are women doing/how are they acting to make you look at them as an object? Most women don’t walk around like prostitutes, prowling around. If you seriously have this much trouble at the movies/in public please seek treatment. Thanks.

To the OP…you can’t place him in hell. He will put himself there if he doesn’t repent and return to his wife.
You have a choice. Be a mistress and risk hurt everyone, including yourself, or be an adult and seek out an appropriate relationship. It’s all up to you.
