I do not know why you have embarked on a mission of teaching about Islam. Everything happens according to Allah’s plans. But in the above verse,it is said that the enemies of Jesus made some plan (That was to crucify (kill Jesus on the cross) to prove that he was a cursed person, away from the Mercy of Allah.

Allah also planned i.e. to save His man Jesus from the ignoble death and Allah is the best of planners.
Are the Muslims totally unaware that many good prophets of God were put to death? To say that they were “away from God’s mercy” because of that is certainly quite naive. Unless of course there would be no afterlife at all…which is contrary to what Christians who are not just nominal believe, and I think the Muslims too believe there will be an afterlife, don’t they?

With respect, the person who wrote this has not considered carefully the teaching of the Scriptures, which another correspondent has so eloquently expounded. The Old Testament Scriptures make it very clear that the world was in need of a powerful Saviour from sin (cf. Isaiah Ch 53), who would reverse the effects of the Fall, and bring the human race back into friendship with God. The problem was that, no human was holy enough, or powerful enough, to do that. Every human was him/herself a part of the problem. The solution provided by God our Loving Heavenly Father was that He Himself would come into the world in through the womb of a virgin, in the Person of His Son. The Virgin Mary being overshadowed by the Holy Spirit, the Holy One born would be sinless and pure. Thus, Immanuel, God incarnate, came to live among us, and to die for our sins. The Lord Jesus wasn’t A god who became man - He was/is God Who became man. In the words of St. Athanasius in his creed of 325AD at Nicaea,“He became that which He was not (man), without ceasing to be that which He always was (God)”. Mysterious though it was, the incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ remains the greatest miracle of all: “God contracted to a span, incomprehensibly made man”.

Lapell, I agree that some prophets / men of God were killed. That was due to the bad work of the evil (wicked) generations. That is a separate thing. It cannot apply in the case of Jesus. Jesus had prayed to be saved from death on the cross. His prayer must be heard. And it was heard. There are a few indications to that effect in the bibleNT too.

But Quran outright admits that prayers of Jesus were heard and he was saved.

There were wicked men trying to punish the man of God (Jesus) trying to kill him on the cross. He prayed to his God. This is a different case. Jesus cannot be killed on the cross. It puts a bad omen on his followers too.

We know that Jesus was seen walking about after a few days. So it is only a question of fainting instead of death. fainting is quite possible too. Why is it necessary to say that Jesus died and then got up from the dead?? There is no need.

Even Paul had some problem with some people who may not have believed in the death of Jesus on the cross. That is why Paul said, “If Jesus did not die on the cross then all our efforts are in vain…” Why did he have to say that??? In those early days???

It is you that is confused Jesus was NEVER in India, read a Bible and see He was crucfixion where And stop with the BS
People are usually confused about this claim of Jesus being in India.

Muslims make the India statement because they think it disproves the crucifixion. But whether myth or not it is said that it was for the years **before His crucifixion from age of 12-30. **

There is no proof that it wasn’t just His teachings that made it to India. There have been many men named for Jesus, but supposedly he took the name Yuz Asaf.

In other words not Jesus, but his teachings could hve mae it to India when the disciples set out to teach the nations.

Many men have been named Jesus but they are not the Jesus our Lord and Saviour.

It is necessary to say "Jesus died and rose on the third day " because that is the truth !

Get used to it.

I don’t quite understand what you mean by “It puts a bad omen on his followers too”. I don’t see much how Jesus’ case is so separate from the prophets’. Now, what Jesus was praying for was that if it were possible that He would be spared from the death on the cross, but that His Father’s will be done one way or the other. God always hear our prayers but sometimes His answer is NO. Jesus did the right thing by saying: “Thy Will be done.” and by stressing it must come first.

That the Son of God should not be spared but sacrificed for the sins not only of His own people but of all those who would turn away from their sins and turn to God sincerely certainly is a rather unthinkable thing, unheard of, not a thing that a mere man would do on his own successfully! To Jews it would be a scandal, and to the people from nations other than Jewish it would be plain foolishness. VERY hard to accept indeed.

You probably read the story of God asking Abraham to go to Mt. Moriah and sacrifice his son, his only son whom he loved in Genesis 22. Well, to many Jews this has been quite a stumbling block in their love of their God, especially after Auschwitz… Already that was something hard to accept, wasn’t it?

The tradition is that the Apostle Thomas evangelized the colony of Jews in Kerala on the Malabar coast. The church there is often referred to as the “Mar Thoma” (Syriac for "St Thomas) church.

The Apostle Thomas went to India and evangelized there, for one…

This is the biggest bunch of hog wash that has been put on these boards in years and is NOT a Christians befife and is against the Bible the word of God

Died on the cross AND resurrected, planten. To simply die and resurrect would have been something in itself. Dayenu! (To us it would be enough!) To have died on the cross and to resurrect again at the end of time and to be told “welcome in Heaven!” would have been also quite something: Dayenu! But He died on the cross and resurrected on the third day! Blessed be God forever!

Twas a novel thing back then, so no wonder so many skeptics have risen up ever since. Would have been a novel thing even nowadays… Hence what Paul says about it to be a scandal to the Jews and plain foolishness to the non-Jews.
