Didn’t she just say she was sorry to a generation of Vietnam War Veterans???Is she going to find an insurgant and sit spread ealge on one of their canons??? Is she going to tell our men and women in uniform they are killing babies??This one never learns!!

Another person who, in the name of “peace” is endorsing abandoning millions of innocents and leaving them at the mercy of terror and tyranny.

Father, forgive us. We’ve appeased tyrants and terrorists, and call it “peace.” *Woe to those who call good evil, and who call evil good. *
 
My honest reaction to Jane Fonda is “who cares?” Really, whooooooo cares? We hear from her every 5-10 years it seems, when she’s onto something new. She’s like a really dull Christmas newsletter from people you don’t care enough about to form an opinion. I think she does it for attention (why else would you get involved in a movement called "Vaginas Vote? I always wondered if that meant they could register in a different party than their owners or it had to be the same one). Really, we should ignore her. That’s the worst possible punishment.:yawn: :sleep:

True…but I just thought she got done with an appology, and she goes out and does the same thing again! Almost. She hasn’t rubbed herself all over the enemies weapons, but…
 
Fonda is just another self-important Hollywood dunce. She half-heartedly apologized for “some” of her actions during the Vietnam war. If she lives long enough, she will probably apologize for this bus tour, especially if she is trying to sell another book or promote another movie.
If she really wants to get in the good graces of the two people who care about her and her career, she should apologize for Barberella.

I mean, really, enough with these brain-dead Hollywood mannequins.

Like too many “peace activists,” she doesn’t like war, which is lovely. But she won’t confront evil because so she won’t get hurt. So what’s a peace activist to do if they refuse to fight evil but want to feel like they are helping? They protest against those who fight real evil—after all, there is no danger in protesting the USA.

Fonda and Kerry are linked together in many beliefs. As a Viet Vet from 1966-1967 I want to “puke” when I hear them speak. So the less I hear of them in the news media the better for my stomach.

As far as I am concerned Fonda will always be Hanoi Jane. I always believed her recent apology for her treasonous photo op with the enemy during the Nam era was a political move. After the book, I fully expected her to start campaigning for … something. And here we see it. A bus tour against coalition forces in Iraq. And yes, it is against the men and women in uniform. She opposes what they are risking their lives to do. Therefore she increases the risk to their lives because she encourages the enemy. Do not be surprised if she campaigns for public office in the foreseeable future. I only hope your Homeland Office has the backbone to challenge her.

As for Jane Fonda, I join the “traitor” vote. But really, it’s probably all for publicity. Sad. 😦

**Kerry was also into the “bash” the soldier mode. I had flashbacks from the publicity that his campaign was showing. His allegations about the soldiers were worse then Hanoi Jane’s. Traitor is not a strong enough word for what he did. I have put most of this out of my mind. Yet I know many have not had a days peace because of the treatment they received upon their return from Nam.

If you did not live with the hate and abuse that was the “war protest” of the 60’s and 70’s you can never understand how we felt. I was spit upon, had things thrown at me (some things that I would never mention) was cursed at and called names while traveling in uniform. It was required at the time to travel in uniform.

Stop bothering the soldiers Jane your old enought to be their grandmother for crying out loud they won’t simply won’t get up and leave the war because you want them to.

I’m sorry you had to go through such things. My dad told me similar stories about when he came back from Vietnam (wounded, no less)…:nope:
I hope you have a measure of peace now. As another poster mentioned, you’ve earned it…:blessyou:
