Oh yeah Jane Fondel got saved what 5 years ago and still desribed herself as pro-choice and a feminist.

I think she debunks that theory right there saved people aprove of abortions and being a traitor to one’s own country?

She went to Charles Stanley’s Southern Baptist Church - You can catch him on TV he’s a big televangelist in the South.
Don’t really think they got much christiantiy into her though judging by her unchanging ways.

Fonda and Kerry are linked together in many beliefs. As a Viet Vet from 1966-1967 I want to “puke” when I hear them speak. So the less I hear of them in the news media the better for my stomach.

Rant away, you are right. I also am a viet-nam era veteran, and people like her make my stomach turn. She tries to disgrace everybody in the military, but she isn’t getting the job done. Nobody pays that much attention to her anymore.

I 100% support an Anti War Bus Tour…BUT I dont think Jane Fonda is the one who should be involved. Her involvement may detract from the message. Even many Democrats are saying this can backfire and she shouldnt be the one to lead the charge.

Regardless of what her profession is, she has AS MUCH RIGHT as ANY OF YOU to express her opinions. She is a tax paying American Citizen. I realy get sick of hearing people say, actors should just SHUT UP and act…Really…then Teachers should shut up and teach, plumbers should shut up and fix my toilet, etc… get it?

Forgiveness doesn’t mitigate making a judgement about someone. Her actions in the past were irresponsible at best and not easily forgotten when confronted with here current actions. It’s like Boy George. I didn’t care for his music when he was with Culture Club and I’m pretty sure that if he came out with an album today I would find it just as bad.

What teachers, plumbers and most of us here don’t have is a pulpit like the stars do. They also don’t have the swelled heads of the Hollywood elites that make them everyone in America actually cares what they think about a certain issue. Actors should just SHUT UP and act. Maybe instead they can concentrate on making better movies. The trash Hollywood is putting out know makes 8th grade social studies filmstrips look like Cecil B. Demille.

I think you are confusing forgiveness with reconciliation. We forgive because we can’t live without forgiveness. That does not in any way reconcile us to those who have wronged us. Forgiveness is one-sided. Reconciliation is two-sided.

Secondly, for someone to obtain forgiveness one must repent first. The sign that Fonda has not repented is that she has gone out and done exactly the same thing for which she claims to be sorry. No no no. She just doesn’t get it at all.

Comparing the Catholic Answers forum to the media coverage given to the stars is laughable. It’s like comparing a Harley Davidson to a moped. To be fair, yes I would agree that stars for the war should keep quiet and just do their job.

I do take issue with putting Gary Sinise in that group. I could be wrong but I haven’t seen him say one way or another how he feels about the war. Rather he just works very closely with the USO. Robin Williams does the same (I met him “in country” myself.) and if I had to bet I would think he is privately against the war.

Easy with the “GET IT NOW?” stuff. You come across as a juvenile pest.
