Welcome Home!!! God is good!!! You have such a wonderful testimony to share with others. God will use your past to touch the lives of so many.

I will be praying for you.

I’ll pray you’ll be safe, Welcome Home!

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Matt, you’re really on my heart today. I’ve been praying for you.

How are you, brother?

Hi, Mrslilreader,

You know - a lot of us have been praying for Matt… and, I think this is doing both him and us a lot of good!

We are all engaged in spiritual warfare - and even though we know that God has the ultimate victory, somehow we are fascinated with the ‘other side’. This is more like the moth and the flame rather then any real perception of equality between Good and evil - it is not like picking football teams!

Here is wishing everyone a very Joyous New Year 👍

God bless

Thank you. I’m doing ok. Struggling a bit with lustful desires though. 😦
I do good for about a week, then I slip again. Its good to hear that people are praying for me. I really appreciate it. 🙂

Hi, Mjb472012,

I think ‘lustful desires’ go hand in hand with our fallen human nature. So, when it comes to having to struggle … join the club! 🙂 Now, here is something that should be helpful. The Book of Tobit (usccb.org/bible/scripture.cfm?bk=Tobit&ch=) has a very interesting account of the Archangel Raphael - and an anti-marriage/lust promoting devil called Asmodious. Here is a link: raphaelarchangel.com/archangel_raphael_history.htm This link is to the introduction and you advance to the next chapter by going to the upper right hand corner link. By the way, the main link provides access to the entire Bible and other material from the US Catholic Bishops.

It had been years since I read Tobit and had honestly forgotten about the power God gave to Raphael to subdue this lustful devil. I recently re-read this Scripture and thought you may want to pray for Raphael to come to your aid when you are tempted.

God bless

Don’t worry so much about the times you do falter, just remember that you have to get up and try again. Christ’s sacrifice on the cross covers us for the times we fall, we just have to be willing to accept the forgiveness that comes with reconciliation.

Welcome home. I pray that God strengthens you and your resolve, and leads you ever close to Him.

As a side note, I am curious about a few things. I have never had the ability to speak to a Satanist, practicing or otherwise; and am quite curious as to how you became a Satanist. Logic would dictate that since you believe in Satan you must believe in God. By believing in these two things it is ultimately necessary that you believe in Heaven and Hell. As a practicing Satanist, I image you accepted that you would ultimately wind up in Hell. How did you cope with this in your daily life, and also, why would you chose Hell if you acknowledge that Heaven exists?

Sorry if that seems like a lot of questions, it’s just a aspect of that particular form of worship that has always confused me.

Hi, ProdglArchitect,

You know, I have been questioning the same things myself.

Absolutely none of the literature I am familiar with pictures Hell as a good place to be - in fact - quite the opposite is the rule. While there are many jokes about: it be hot, shoveling coal, getting prodded with a pitchfork in more of a good natured way … I think these aresimply to just dull the senses of total and everlasting doom, pain, anger and the eternal loss of God. To actively seek such an end is beyond my comprehension. That people wind up there because they want to sin rather then worship God - is no surprise … but, that is really a different matter, at least as I see it.

God bless

Hello,

I’d like to ask for people’s prayers here. I converted to Roman Catholicism through the RCIA program this past April 7th on the Easter Vigil Mass. Prior to that, I was deeply involved in Satanism. I was a member of a group called “the Brotherhood”, and I had a teacher that I was learning from for several years. I was proficient in witchcraft, demonolatry (worshipping demons), and various forms of rituals. My apartment had altars to many different demons who I would pray to and offer incense and offerings on daily basis in return for money, sex, and different favors. (and yes, it works!)
One day, one of my rituals went wrong and the demons I worked with became unpleasant to be around. One of the demons on my altar would cause me to be sick to me stomach when I prayed to it.

Their presence was suffocating and I needed them gone. I purchased a St Michael candle and prayed the prayer on the back and asked Michael to send the demons away from my home. Almost instantly, the demonic presence disappeared. I then realized that God had more power that the demons which I worshipped and worked with as allies on a daily basis. After a few months, my girlfriend at the time (who is now engaged to me, and we are preparing for marriage!) talked with me about Satanism and about how God uses bad experiences in life to bring people to Him. I decided to throw out all my occult stuff and join the Catholic Church.
It’s a struggle, but I’m doing my best to live by Christ’s commandments and live as God wills me to. I’m under pressure often to return to the occult, but I know this would be a grave sin and I dont want to go back. The power you gain from Satanism is highly addicting, but it doesnt compare to the peace that Jesus gives. I just wanted to share this testimony and ask that you pray for me that God would bless my life as I live for Him and for protection against my old companions, as I’m sure they are angry with me. I still find myself under constant attack from the enemy through temptation and nightmares.

Your Brother in Christ,

-Matt Brown
i converted from Wisconsin Synod Lutheran to Catholic… a big jump too !!!

There are many different forms of Satanism. Most Satanists are atheistic. A large group are theistic Satanists, who revere Satan as God. Only a very small percentage are “reverse Christians”. Those who believe the bible, but are cheering for the “other side”. These types of Satanists are highly frowned upon by the other kinds of Satanists.
Theistic satanists generally view Lucifer as a pre-christian deity. There is a group of people in the middle east that revere Satan as “Melek Taus”. He is the highest angel that God ever created. But they believe that Satan repented for his rebellion and God restored his position and made Satan ruler of the earth over all mankind. According to yezedi belief, you must honor Satan and please him in order to please God. (Since he is acting as ruler at God’s command.)

Keep the questions coming. I’ll answer anything you guys want to know. 🙂

Also, 99% of Satanists don’t believe in the biblical account of Hell. They either deny its existence altogether or they have a positive view on it. Those will a positive view on hell see it as “hel” from Norse mythology. A calm peaceful land of the dead where they will be rewarded by Satan and given all the power and pleasure they could ever want. Theistic Satanists believe that Christianity took the original concept of hell and turned it into a place of torment in order to scare people to becoming Christians.
demons are seen as allies. Wise and old spiritual beings that a Satanist can call upon for favors, wisdom, or assistance. Demons are seen as spiritual companions from Satan.
The goal of Satanism is for a person to elevate themselves as a god. Through Satan, a person can develop psychic abilities and learn other powers through the help of Satan’s demons.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Remember oh most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. INspired with this confidence I fly unto thee oh Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray and do thou oh Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

I don’t know if I have already mentioned this or not since I have posted in this thread already but here are a few things that you can do to protect yourself against Satan:

  1. *]Pray the Rosary daily.
*]Keep a supply of holy water on hand and use it daily. I recommend blessed and exorcized holy water.
*]Get some blessed and exorcized salt and use it daily.
    *]Have your house/apartment blessed.
*]Get a properly blessed and exorcized Saint Benedict Medal and wear it.
*]Get a blessed Miraculous Medal and wear it.
*]Get a brown scapular or a fivefold scapular and be invested in it and wear it all the time.
*]Pray the prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel which I put above.
*]Receive the Eucharist frequently. Daily Mass attendance is a very good practice.
    *]Go to Confession frequently.
*]And above all, obey all of the precepts and teachings of the Catholic Church.

    I hope this helps.

Hi, Mjb472012,

Thank you for the response. But, you know … the Devil is a fool of almost infinite proportions - but, he is not stupid. I read Holly3278’s post on protecting ourselves from the Devil and thought that this is a very good idea.👍 But, knowing about the details of the Devil is really not a very good idea.

That evil spirit is ‘smarter’ (in terms of human knowledge and human behavior) then we think he is - and deception is all he is capable of. He really does not get offended by people putting him in red tights with a goatee and a pointed tail - anything out there that reduces our view of his powerful hate is just fine with him! He could never change - so that when we pray with St. Peter that the Devil, ‘… goes about like a hungry lion seeking whom he can devour …’ (1Peter 5) we have identified our enemy. He’s big, mean, eats souls, damned to torment forever - and he scares me.

Recall, there were devils that the Apostles could not exorcise (Matt 17) by what they were doing and the Lord says that prayer and fasting is also necessary.

Candidly, I just had a chill run through me in reading these past couple of posts - and a big yellow flag went up as a warning to move away from looking at the various props used by the damned spirits and look towards Our Redeemer, Who conquered sin and death and all of Hell.

I think the best thing I can do is pray for everyone on the list and for me to address this profoundly uneasy feeling I have and just move on.

God bless and good-bye

My apologies for causing any uncomfortable feelings to anyone on this thread. I just wanted to show people what most Satanists believe, since most people haven’t the slightest idea. I’m available to answer questions if anyone wants to privately message me. I don’t wish to cause other believers to stumble.

As you saw, all welcomed you back in belief - in Catholicism. Many are interested in what’s Satanism is all about. I am not. For all I had to learn about Satanism in it’s many facets, is so disgusting, that I want to keep off it forever. Therefore I’ll never ask.
But with so many loving answers in this forum welcoming you, I still miss your answer if you finally arrived fully in belief and in Catholicism or not, and if you now are fully rooted in our Church.

Yours
Bruno

by the way: I was going to open a new thread THE POWER OF PRAYER. Someone here wrote he will and I asked “where did you? - where can we find it”. I never found such thread, so I will open it now, and then tell you where to find it. 🙂

Yes. I am in full communion and belief with the Roman Catholic church and all it’s teachings. 🙂
