Welcome Home!!! God is good!!! You have such a wonderful testimony to share with others. God will use your past to touch the lives of so many.
I will be praying for you.
I will be praying for you.
Matt, you’re really on my heart today. I’ve been praying for you.
How are you, brother?

I do good for about a week, then I slip again. Its good to hear that people are praying for me. I really appreciate it.![]()
Don’t worry so much about the times you do falter, just remember that you have to get up and try again. Christ’s sacrifice on the cross covers us for the times we fall, we just have to be willing to accept the forgiveness that comes with reconciliation.Thank you. I’m doing ok. Welcome home. I pray that God strengthens you and your resolve, and leads you ever close to Him.
As a side note, I am curious about a few things. I have never had the ability to speak to a Satanist, practicing or otherwise; and am quite curious as to how you became a Satanist. Logic would dictate that since you believe in Satan you must believe in God. By believing in these two things it is ultimately necessary that you believe in Heaven and Hell. As a practicing Satanist, I image you accepted that you would ultimately wind up in Hell. How did you cope with this in your daily life, and also, why would you chose Hell if you acknowledge that Heaven exists?
Sorry if that seems like a lot of questions, it’s just a aspect of that particular form of worship that has always confused me.
i converted from Wisconsin Synod Lutheran to Catholic… a big jump too !!!Hello,
I’d like to ask for people’s prayers here. I converted to Roman Catholicism through the RCIA program this past April 7th on the Easter Vigil Mass. Prior to that, I was deeply involved in Satanism. I was a member of a group called “the Brotherhood”, and I had a teacher that I was learning from for several years. I was proficient in witchcraft, demonolatry (worshipping demons), and various forms of rituals. My apartment had altars to many different demons who I would pray to and offer incense and offerings on daily basis in return for money, sex, and different favors. (and yes, it works!)
One day, one of my rituals went wrong and the demons I worked with became unpleasant to be around. One of the demons on my altar would cause me to be sick to me stomach when I prayed to it.
Their presence was suffocating and I needed them gone. I purchased a St Michael candle and prayed the prayer on the back and asked Michael to send the demons away from my home. Almost instantly, the demonic presence disappeared. I then realized that God had more power that the demons which I worshipped and worked with as allies on a daily basis. After a few months, my girlfriend at the time (who is now engaged to me, and we are preparing for marriage!) talked with me about Satanism and about how God uses bad experiences in life to bring people to Him. I decided to throw out all my occult stuff and join the Catholic Church.
It’s a struggle, but I’m doing my best to live by Christ’s commandments and live as God wills me to. I’m under pressure often to return to the occult, but I know this would be a grave sin and I dont want to go back. The power you gain from Satanism is highly addicting, but it doesnt compare to the peace that Jesus gives. I just wanted to share this testimony and ask that you pray for me that God would bless my life as I live for Him and for protection against my old companions, as I’m sure they are angry with me. I still find myself under constant attack from the enemy through temptation and nightmares.
Your Brother in Christ,
-Matt Brown
Also, 99% of Satanists don’t believe in the biblical account of Hell. They either deny its existence altogether or they have a positive view on it. Those will a positive view on hell see it as “hel” from Norse mythology. A calm peaceful land of the dead where they will be rewarded by Satan and given all the power and pleasure they could ever want. Theistic Satanists believe that Christianity took the original concept of hell and turned it into a place of torment in order to scare people to becoming Christians.
demons are seen as allies. Wise and old spiritual beings that a Satanist can call upon for favors, wisdom, or assistance. Demons are seen as spiritual companions from Satan.
The goal of Satanism is for a person to elevate themselves as a god. Through Satan, a person can develop psychic abilities and learn other powers through the help of Satan’s demons.
My apologies for causing any uncomfortable feelings to anyone on this thread. I just wanted to show people what most Satanists believe, since most people haven’t the slightest idea. I’m available to answer questions if anyone wants to privately message me. I don’t wish to cause other believers to stumble.Hi, Mjb472012,
Thank you for the response. But, you know … the Devil is a fool of almost infinite proportions - but, he is not stupid. I read Holly3278’s post on protecting ourselves from the Devil and thought that this is a very good idea. But, knowing about the details of the Devil is really not a very good idea.
That evil spirit is ‘smarter’ (in terms of human knowledge and human behavior) then we think he is - and deception is all he is capable of. He really does not get offended by people putting him in red tights with a goatee and a pointed tail - anything out there that reduces our view of his powerful hate is just fine with him!He could never change - so that when we pray with St. Peter that the Devil, ‘… goes about like a hungry lion seeking whom he can devour …’ (1Peter 5) we have identified our enemy. He’s big, mean, eats souls, damned to torment forever - and he scares me.
Recall, there were devils that the Apostles could not exorcise (Matt 17) by what they were doing and the Lord says that prayer and fasting is also necessary.
Candidly, I just had a chill run through me in reading these past couple of posts - and a big yellow flag went up as a warning to move away from looking at the various props used by the damned spirits and look towards Our Redeemer, Who conquered sin and death and all of Hell.
I think the best thing I can do is pray for everyone on the list and for me to address this profoundly uneasy feeling I have and just move on.
God bless and good-bye
As you saw, all welcomed you back in belief - in Catholicism. Many are interested in what’s Satanism is all about. I am not. For all I had to learn about Satanism in it’s many facets, is so disgusting, that I want to keep off it forever. Therefore I’ll never ask.I just wanted to show people what most Satanists believe, since most people haven’t the slightest idea.
Yes. I am in full communion and belief with the Roman Catholic church and all it’s teachings. As you saw, all welcomed you back in belief - in Catholicism. But with so many loving answers in this forum welcoming you, I still miss your answer if you finally arrived fully in belief and in Catholicism or not, and if you now are fully rooted in our Church.

by the way: I was going to open a new thread THE POWER OF PRAYER. Someone here wrote he will and I asked “where did you? - where can we find it”. I never found such thread, so I will open it now, and then tell you where to find it.![]()
