Well keep in mind that is the RCC’s view, that you can never be a former Catholic. Plenty of other denominations feel otherwise.Keep in mind, that once a Baptized Catholic you are always a Catholic. regardless of whatever place you find yourself in on Sundays in the future. There’s no such thing as “I used to be Catholic”.
If they dragged you to church, then you have not experienced the Mass in it’s proper form.
I suggest you return to study about the faith.
Once you realize what it’s REALLY about, you may feel differently in the future. For now, no, you are in no shape to be Confirmed. You’ll just end up with an oily forehead.
.
But I will agree with you that the OP really should wait until they’re ready to make an honest commitment to the RCC (or any church for that matter). Going through the motions so to speak to me denies one of the key purposes of Catholic Confirmation, the renewal of Baptismal promises. If you’re not ready to make those promises, then to do so would be a hollow gesture. Don’t make the mistake of doing so until you’re actually ready to do so.
