I feel old and tired

Okay. Today I have decided to pretty much do nothing. Tomorrow after Mass, I will stop by Home Depot, get some lumber and build some raised beds for a vegetable garden. Then I will get some more seeds started. Hopefully a little gardening will recharge me.

You are kind of damp right now, aren’t you? We’re expecting some of your run-off down this way, but I’m way too far from water to be affected myself.

A garden sounds like a great way to recharge. I still use film myself, and was beginning to think I was the last hold out. I have a cheap little Advantix camera that takes exactly the picture I want, but the film is getting hard to find. Walgreen’s still has it, but that’s about it around here.

I hope the weekend rejuvenated you.

Tonight, I feel very old.

Everyone has days like this, rpp, when everything things to be falling apart and as if you’re tired to the bones. God will not give us problems we can’t handle. See…He sent you help in the form of the cleaning lady.

I will pray for you and your family.

Suggest you read Matthew 11:28-30

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

During times when you feel tired and old, I suggest you pray to God to be with you, to help you get through…and your burden will be made light.

After my couple weeks in the hospital with my foster daughter last summer, it took me months to get back to normal (there were other circumstances as well- but that ties in with you too) - don’t get too down if it takes longer than you expect, God just needs to work on you some more. I’m finally better mentally than I was before her surgery - but the drain I went through I don’t wish on anyone!

Well I have gotten some rest and I am back to work. But I still feel off my game. What I really need is a vacation. Unfortunately, I got this project at work with a hot due date and I do not think I will be able to take a week between now and sometime this summer.

Well, at least I work for a great employer, love my job and have great co-workers so work is not as draining as it might be for others. (I am exceptionally lucky in this regard.)

Will keep you in my prayers, am going to go look at your photos’ now. I need a new camera too, thanks for the tips on your brand, I want one that takes pictures of lightening, I tried once during a horriffic lightening storm, from shelter, and couldn’t get my digital to capture even one and it lasted over an hour. I tried everything.It’s pretty good for everything else though.

I too find nature to be one of God’s greatest gifts (besides His own Life of course), to us.

I just started some gardening too, strawberries, green peppers, tomato’s, so far the tomatos are doing the best, the peppers and strawberries are looking a little too sickly for my comfort. I may have to bring them back in the house and put them under the sky light for some doctoring, fertilizer and TLC for awhile before putting them back out.

The waterfall and this one were my favorites. (Beaver lodge, descending from Hatcher Pass, Alaska), loved that reflection.

No wonder you are so restless with being confined, you obviously are use to going when and where you please and now you are being slowed down to take care of others, and you are doing an awesome job of it too, your mother taught you that, its her turn now, I will keep her and your brother in my prayers too. God bless you for all you do.

It really was the most awesome one I had ever seen, going on for over an hour.

I cheated on the tomatos and got some already started this year…I did them from seeds last year but forgot to get the seeds this year, so, I just got some at the nearby home depot that were already about 6 inches tall and really healthy looking.

The strawberries I am starting from seeds so I’ll see how that goes, I have an old strawberry pot that belonged to my mother that I planted them in. Now brocolli sounds good…and cauliflower.
