just out of curiosity, what, exactly, is that supposed to accomplish?
The prayer to bless holy water contains a prayer of exorcism meant to drive out evil influences from the water itself before it is blessed, and then again wherever that water is sprinkled.

It is a good idea to sprinkle items that were formerly used for occult purposes, such as this crystal, before destroying and discarding the item. The holy water helps get rid of any demons attached to the item.

If you somehow came into possession of a toy upon which a child had choked to death, would you keep it? No, you wouldn’t because of the horrible association it would have for you forever. Nor would you ever feel right about giving it to someone else who didn’t know about its history. I’m not sure demons attach themselves to objects, but peoples’ mental associations sure do. Like the toy would, this crystal has a toxic association for you; an association that will never go away until you get it completely out of your life.

I think the dumpster in back of McDonalds would serve.

Throwing it in a body of water would be more advisable. That way, no one can find it and use it. Definitely get rid of it.

I wouldn’t count on no one finding it. My husband is a scuba diver and you should see some of the things he picks up. Best to destroy it and bury it or throw it out so it can never be used again.

As an aside, Fr. Gabriele Amorth, exorcist of Rome, tells how one should never flush small cursed items down the toilet or wash it down a drain. Seems these things tend to ruin plumbing systems even when they are not large enough to cause a blockage.

Until the day Sméagol’s and and his relative Déagol went fishing in the Gladden Fields north of Lothlórien. …

But they never went fishing in the dumpsters at McDonalds!!! That’s my vote.
